Fabulous holiday/hotel except the sad people queuing for a sunbed
Rooms clean, bit dated but had everything you need, showers nice and powerful, none of the balconies get much sun, but didn't bother us. Food great, there is something for everyone, some of the other nationalities would push in, but you just ignore them. Definitely recommend this hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...good location, variety of good food, comfy rooms

New years Holiday
Karen Brown, London
I stayed at IFA Continental for 11 nights with my husband and 19 year old daughter. We flew out on 1st January and were delighted to find that our hotel was about two minutes walk from a beautiful beach. I enjoyed morning and evening runs along the costal path followed by a workout in the hotel exercise room. The exercise room has a few weights, work benches and a yoga mat. There are two exercise bikes but they are dysfunctional due to having no straps for the foot pedals. The hotel is immaculately clean. The rooms are cleaned everyday and fresh towels are provided on a daily basis. What I saw of the entertainment was pretty poor. Their were a few two piece bands who played out of tune and a bored looking DJ. I never stuck around in the day to find out what the animation team did. Most of the p** area is in the shade, so not ideal for sunbathing unless you burn easily. I am a vegan and there was no dietary provision for me. I got by on bread, basic salad and fruit. I had to buy myself nuts for protein. My husband and daughter are both vegetarians and although there were some options for them the food was not labelled as such, and most dishes contained meat. More often than not for example all the pizza would have bacon on it. The wifi does not work on Mac laptopsThe staff were friendly, and helpful and the hotel is within walking distance to the two main centres, Kasba and Yumbo.
The best thing about my stay was...The close location of the hotel to the beach

Great for a 3 star hotel
The location of this hotel is excellent. It is close to the beach, bars, restaurants and shops and also the bus stop that serves the isaland with a non stop express service to the airport. The rooms were a little dated but very clean. Frustrating not to have free wifi or a hairdryer but this is only a 3 star hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I only ate breafast at the hotel and with the exception of the fruit juice it was all very tasty with a good choice. This is hotel is very good value for money

Good location, room ok, breakfast average, view not good and noisy when people were passing or returning early hours as we were on the first floor. Must be the ugliest hotel in Gran Canaria externally but good inside.Pool area was ok but shaded in several area until late morning so getting a good sunbed was difficult and not enough matresses for the number of sunbeds, we actually used the beach rather than wait for a sunny spot.
The best thing about my stay was...Appearance of the pool area

Great food, great location, friendly staff
Great location, friendly staff. PROs:The location is excellent, beach/bus stop/shops/bars all a short walk away. We really enjoyed the food, breakfast and dinner. Nice pool area. Friendly Staff CONs. 1 heated pool but it wasn't warm (!), no fan in bathroom, internet access 30mins free then you pay - very slow. Rooms a little dated.
The best thing about my stay was...Evening buffet

This is not a family friendly hotel out of season
Madeleines Mum, Peterborough
I travelled here with my daughter during half term week. I was really disappointed that the kids club was shut and there was very little to entertain my four year old. A kids pool and a climbing frame and that was it. The animation team were kind to my daughter but there were no activities aimed at her whatsoever. I spent a lot of my holiday feeling that I needed to apologise for my daughters presence as many of the older guests seemed very irritated by her. There were some in particular who insisted on being next to the kids pool yet tutted and grumbled about her playing in the pool. Food was ok slightly bland at times and again nothing for kids. Reception staff were snotty, check in was a nightmare and I had three trips to reactivate my room card in one evening - missing the last chance to get a drink for my daughter to take to the room. I asked the man on reception could we please get a drink as I had been back and forth with my room card and found his attitude to my request disgusting. I wouldn't bring my daughter back to this hotel.

Clean, Smart well presented hotel with good customer care, hard to believe it's only rated 3 Star. Would certainly return here. The rooms and landing look a little tired, the central areas are smart and modern. Great pools and pool areas. Perfect time of year for us, the hotel was relatively quiet (as was the island), although far from empty. Excellent buffet food, we stayed half board, sometimes limited in choices at dinner and it wasn't always easy to know what the theme was for that night, but over all there was plenty of very tasty food for us to indulge ourselves. Would say the majority of residents were AI. Our room was on the first floor at one end of the hotel, whilst close to a public bar we weren't disturbed at night at all by noise. This hotel is very well located, close to the beaches, and easy walking distance to San Agustin area one way and Maspalomas the other. If your don't enjoy a stroll, the bus station is just across the road and around the corner. Earlier this year we went to another Hotel in Playa Del Ingles, very near this one, we really enjoyed it, Ifa Continental was better!! Admittedly we didn't do any of the evening entertainment, just caught the odd glimpse, what we saw was ok, there were always lots of other residents there! The Animation team seemed to work hard all day, providing plenty of activities for those who wanted to get involved.
The best thing about my stay was...Location, Restaurant, Staff

A Dutton, Atherton, Manchester.
What a fantastic place to stay, nothing to fault through-out my stay at the IFA C ontinental in Playa Del Ingles, 10/10 for everything. Food was classic, it never ended, a choice of anything that you wanted to eat. Food served all day, up to 11pm in the evening, all types of drink's served, (watch out for the Spirits, very strong). Staff very friendly & polite, room's spotlessly cleaned & maid cleaned your room's every day. Entertainment in the Hotel every night & also during the day by the pool side. Weather was excellent, as it is all year round. A good time to stay to from late September. Have just booked to go back same time next year. (can't wait).
The best thing about my stay was...The Food In the Hotel.
