Resort Info

Vienna

Vienna is a city with many facets. The first thing that visitors notice is the striking baroque architecture and its monumental edifices, a testament to the Habsburg dynasty which ruled over the city, however scratching the surface reveals a much younger and more dynamic city, characterised by its developing music and cultural scene. The city is packed with attractions to suit all types of tourists and boasts fifty theatres, four opera houses and one-hundred museums. Those looking for peace and relaxation can take advantage of the abundance of green spaces or venture into the city’s very own National Park, which stretches between Vienna and Bratislava. When is comes to food and drink visitors are not short of options, from the popular coffee-houses to the taverns and restaurants, Vienna has something to suit all budgets.

8/10 Great

Rooms comfortable and clean, no bathtubs though...my room was at the front right across from the U-Bahn staion,so it was a bit noisy with the window open....the breakfast was adequate, nothing special cereals, yoghurt, rolls and jams, scrambled egg and bacon, tinned fruit salad etc, coffee machine. The hotel is in a good spot, not too far to walk into downtown Vienna, or right next to the metro station, very close to Nachtmarket, a really great food market with allsorts of interesting ethnic restaurants on it too, and a Saturday morning flea market. The staff were quite friendly in reception etc, and the coctail bar was very handy for a nightcap at the end of a long day!!

Review of 'AUSTRIA TREND ANANAS'

My husband and I have just spent 4 days in the Ananas Hotel in Vienna. We chose bed and breakfast as we wanted to spend as much time as possible sight-seeing. The hotel was very comfortable, with lots of space in the well appointed en-suite room. The staff were extremely polite and courteous which made our stay most enjoyable. The Hotel is well situated and within easy reach of all the main attractions in this enchanting city. "Yes" we will go again and "Yes" we would hope to stay at the Ananas.

Review of 'AUSTRIA TREND ANANAS'

My wife and I have just spent a most memorable 4 days in Vienna.<br />We stayed at the Ananas Hotel which was very impressive. The room was spacious, clean and tidy with a very practical en-suite.The accommodation included breakfast which was a delight in itself,we have never encountered such a wide choice of food in any European Hotel we have stayed at. The Hotel is geographically&nbsp;&nbsp;well positioned, being just a 10 minute walk from the Naschmark, which is a hive of activity. There appeared to be&nbsp;&nbsp;every imaginable vegetable and fruit on sale, to say nothing of the great variety of fish.Vienna is seeped in history from the State Opera House, the many Museums&nbsp;&nbsp;and numerous buildings of architectural beauty. We also visited the Prater and rode on the Riesenrad which afforded us a magnificent view of the city. We will undoubtedly&nbsp;&nbsp;be back.
