Beautiful View

On arrival we were greeted at reception with a nice friendly smile and check in was simple and quick , The room was clean, tidy and we had fresh towels everyday , a couple of minor repairs need doing .ie the wardrobe door didn't slide very well and a few chipped tiles on the bathroom floor but nothing major The bathroom is small and cramped but it saved its purpose, We booked a room with a sea view and it didn't dissapoint , well worth the extra few quid ! The view was outstanding and made my holiday , Breakfast was ok too , couldn't grumble really even though there was a lack of fruit but can see why because fruit is really expensive in Malta , Both pools were fabulous and well kept and the private bar /restraunt attached to the hotel does the best steak on the island by far ! Is definatly return to this hotel and return soon. Very Central and Romantic

The best thing about my stay was...

The panoramic view from the bslcony

Late autumn break in Malta

Stayed at this hotel at the same time last year, enjoyed it so re-booked. Clean comfortable room. No noise at night. WI-FI everywhere. Great location close to all buses and the ferry to Valetta. We chose 1/2 board and the evening meals are excellent. Not many people use the 1/2 board option but the chef makes lovely soup and the mains are also excellent (lamb shank/beef/turkey/rabbit/fish/chicken and much more). Staff are all very friendly and helpful, although the hotel is fairly large it has the feeling of a much more personal place. Overall, thank you again Bayview. :)

The best thing about my stay was...

No hassle excellent quality accommodation, have stayed in 5* hotels all about, but the food here (especially evening table ) is at least on par if not better :)

Could be a good hotel but is tired.

The staff were helpful where they could be but the hotel is tired. The fridge kept defrosting, the handbasin did not drain, the sheets did not fit the bed, the patio door did not lock, the internet cafe was inoperative and the breakfast was very bland.

The best thing about my stay was...

The rooftop swimming pool was a big plus

Terrible

This hotel was the worst ever I have stayed in, when we checked in to our room, I sat on the bed and the springs was so bad I looked to see what type of mattress it was because it felt it was about 15 years old, omg I never thought I would find what I found, there was blood stains all over the mattress, not a few specs but literally all over like someone had a fight, looked in the other mattress and that was worst, never seen anything like it before and I've been a housekeeping manager. Went to reception to ask for another room or beds and asked to speak to the housekeeping manager but would not speak to me and sent one of her staff, not once did we get a apology and was told by the staff that they would steam clean the mattress, I told them that they should be burned. Anyone staying in this place check the mattress and pillows as the other ones they gave us has stains on as well, i felt dirty all week.. Never again at this hotel..

Don't stay here!

I had booked two studio apartments, when we arrived at reception the man told me he couldn't find one of my bookings.. He told me it was probably my fault even though I had the confirmation letter.. He then told me there was no apartments free so I would have to go to blubay. I told him i had booked bay view and no blu bay and he then said there is no bay view apartments.. It was 1 in the morning and my patience was thin so I made my way to blu bay. When I arrived the receptionist there told me they were all booked up and he would have to put us in a two bed.. I told him no and his response was well we can't build a new room.. So they clearly overbooked for some strange reason. We stayed in the 2 bed for one night then the next morning I went down and demanded the 2 studio apartments I had booked. I was then brought to the bay view apartments which I was told didn't exist the night before... And we were given out 2 studios. My room was fine but my sisters was tiny with no balcony which we had paid extra for. During the week there was never a receptionist downstairs so we had to walk to blu bay for anything. It was a nightmare, we were never given fresh sheets or towels. I had to search for a maid to get towels. The cleaning involved emptying the bin and pouring bleach everywhere. My sisters boyfriend had two t shirts covered in bleach stains from them. Our key cards never worked. We got back one night and the electricity had gone in the the building so we couldn't get in the front door and had to wait ages. There was no kettle in our room and it said there was meant to be. We had no bowels no cups.. It was a joke. Everyone who works for this company doesn't care about anything but money.. We spent 800€ on this and it was the worst place over ever stayed and I've stayed in 1€ a night places in Asia! Do not stay in this joke of an establishment!!!!

Great stay for reasonable pay

My boyfriend and I stayed there for 8 nights in self catering unit, and it was great. Room was clean, we had our room serviced every day . There is a tv in the room but we were not able to use it because it was not connected, but because of that we had free wifi otherwise you have to get something like a wifi pass ( 20 euros a week). The only thing we couldn't get going was air con to work when we wanted, no matter how we tried, but it was working when ever it feel like. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. All in all we are planning to go back and stay there again.

The best thing about my stay was...

It is very close to bus stops and restaurants and to the bay.

autum break

this is a nice hotel for the price, good location, friendly staff, the room was clean, and the bathroom big enough with a powerfull overbath shower.daily chamber maid, with towel change as requested. good breakfast ,and nice roof area with lndoor, and outdoor pools I would say that the hotel is getting a bit tired looking, and could do with a lick of paint the aircon was noisy and the handbasin was slow to drain, but that would not put me off staying there again with a

In a good position

Spent one week in Bayview hotel, our first time in Malta. We checked in late, around midnight, and the guy who handled our check in couldn't have cared less about us! He hardly lifted his head, no greeting whatsoever, just asked for details and credit card number and carried on whatever he was doing! Needs to brush up on customer relations! When we were brought to our apt (we booked two bed s/c apt) , we had to leave the hotel building, walk two blocks and around the corner, up a side street! The apt was in a building of apts and we were very disappointed! The door led straight into the sitting room, which was dark, with only one small window. Two bedrooms, which were ok, but the balcony was thru one,and overlooked residential flats, and a brick wall! Absolutely no view, though I had emailed the hotel prior to this requesting a nice view! Dark, dingy in serious need of updating. We had paid €555 for this for one week! The next morning we complained, and were shown another apt, with a view over the bay. A fab apt, spacious, modern, all facilities. The only catch? €180 extra! We paid it, and moved swiftly. This apt was two doors away from the hotel, apparently none of the apt are actually IN the hotel?? The hotel had a pool area on the 7th floor. This was quite small, the photos on their web site and other sites,, are misleading. The pool was also dirty, grime around the walls, and murky water. We couldn't believe on our first day, there was no shade at pool, and when we enquired were told the umbrellas were in storage! The temp was hitting 35 some days and no shade!! Again we went to reception to complain and the next day umbrellas were put at pool. We ate breakfast in the cafe some mornings just inside the hotel, and that was good value at €4.75 but not inc tea or coffee. The hotel itself charges €7.50 for continental. We also ate lunch from this cafe and the food was lovely, but not too cheap. There is a small shop at pool supplying water, drinks and towels. The cleaning was second to none in apartments. Every morning cleaning arrived and replaced towels and sheets promptly. There was a bath and shower over it, which was great to have, and air conditioning too was brill. The views from our balcony were stunning, looking over the bay, but beware VERY noisy. Traffic all day and night, and the maltese blow car horns non-stop, also motor bikes and cars have extremely noisy exhausts.

Budget Hotel

Budget Hotel. Food is terrible. Breakfast was terrible. Wi-Fi is 5€ a day for one device only. If you are going for this hotel book room only and have meals downstairs at other restaurants or cafes. But the view is very nice if you book seaview room.

The best thing about my stay was...

Seaview is nice.
