A Balanced and Genuine Review
Mark B, England
I have stayed in many hotels around the World' and Europe for business and personal leisure .I have have stayed at the Beverly Park Hotel on more than 10 occasions over the last 12 plus years ,it has attracted mixed feedback .Having reviewed very recent feedback with specific reference to what they considered a poor food offer I think us Brits need to keep in mind that 85% plus I would think are German or other nationality ( Beverly Parks Customers ) so don't expect sausage and chips or mushy peas and fish chips or Shepard's Pie or Beef Stew and Dumplings ,to be fair their meal offer for a Budget Hotel is I think genuinely very good and very definitely far better than their 3 Star Rating . I have stayed in everything from 5 Star Hotels through to no Star and as my late Aunt used to say Ya pays ya money ya takes ya choice ,if you wish the latest gastronomy delights then fine ,but remember your what you have paid for your budget getaway be realistic about your expectations. The hotel is clean and in general well decorated , customer service I have always found to be good in general and the daily cleaning ladies cheerful and efficient . So then what would be the negatives ,well it's a Taxis ride into the Town Centre for most especially if you are aged ,if you are Disabled this hotel and it's location are not for you it does not cater for wheelchair users or anyone who has walking or stability issues . In addition the immediate geographical area involves walking up either steep inclines or steps so keep this in mind if you are unstable on your feet or your age or level of personal fitness would make this an issue Also just a key note the road noise at the front of the hotel might be an issue for some and the beds offer a very firm sleep to firm for some I suspect . Overall I think this hotel represents good value for money and much better than many many 3 Star Hotels . My advice is remember how much this Hotel is not going to cost you in relation to so many more across this location .
The best thing about my stay was...Great Value

Had read previous reviews which made us wary before travelling, but everything was great. Rooms clean & comfortable with small balcony, and bathroom with shower over bath & hairdryer. Pool areas and snack bars all very clean, plenty of loungers and good selection of drinks, foods and ice creams at snack bar. Restaurant had great variety and we were happy with all food. One on morning breakfast foods weren't being refilled and some people unable to get preferred items but we were fine, this was the only issue we seen all week. All in all we were very happy with hotel , its location close to beach is great and lovely for nice walks. Staff were all very helpful.
The best thing about my stay was...Relaxing sunny stay in lovely area near beach

A month at Beverly Park
On arrival, we were asked to sign a document waiving most of our human rights. We were then allocated a dingy, tree shrouded room overlooking a motorway. At this point we were ready to request a refund and leave to look for somewhere better. After protesting to reception, (and pointing out we were booked in for a month - not a few days) we were grudgingly re-allocated to a superb room overlooking the swimming pool with a sea view and a sunny balcony. Things were looking up. The food was good, the drinks reasonable, and all in all we felt we had excellent value for money during our stay. The downside is the authoritarian, bordering on an intimidatory management style which seems to extend to both menial staff and guests. The maids were great and seemed surprised when we praised them as if it had not happened before. The arrogant suited mezzos running the cafeteria had to be experienced to be believed, taking the authoritarian management style to a level Franco would have been proud of. The result is a poorly run facility, with good food usually cold by the time it is served, and totally inadequate staffing of the bar. It soon became obvious that most nationalities totally ignored the extensive rules and regulations this hotel tries to impose on its guests, and it seemed some nationalities were able to "get away" with more transgressions than others. To sum up, the hotel offered excellent value for money, but a welcome was not included in the deal. Guests need to be assertive if they want to get the best the hotel has to offer, and unfortunately the overall atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired.
The best thing about my stay was...The value for money

Stayed Several Times / Latest Review Nov 17
The main hotel reception has received a lick of paint with new pics and decor since my last visit . The food offer seems to improve with every visit ,good choice to cover most tastes , points to note WiFi is expensive and the beds are very very firm so great if you need a lot of support ,not so if you don't and want a more relaxing night's sleep. It also should be noted that on the north road side of the hotel traffic noise can be rather loud early and into late evening. Over all I really like this hotel and I have stayed across Europe in many hotels ,on balance season depending it represents great value for money and is far far better than any other three star hotel than any other I have stayed in anywhere ,frankly it would be more representative of a four star hotel .one key note not ideal if you have a physical disability , particularly poor for wheelchair accessibility with reference to entering the hotel from the front of the building without making assistance arrangements.
The best thing about my stay was...Good Food Choice ,selection ,house keeping was a cut above average

3rd stay here
L and A, Lytham. Uk
This was my 3rd stay at Beverly Park. The food is generally very good considering they are appealing to several nationalities. My only comment would be that it does need to be a little hotter not only for taste but for food hygiene and safety. W This time we were accommodated on the first floor, no complaints about the room but the noise from the i house entertainment each night was a problem if you wanted a quiet or early night to get a N early start the next day.
The best thing about my stay was...Friendly and helpful reception staff. Although you do need to make sure you are attended to in the order you queue as often people push in and the staff seem oblivious to this

The reality is this is a two star hotel. The staff are very friendly and hard working and the food is excellent, lots of choice, hot and well cooked.
The best thing about my stay was...The food

Cannot say hotel was bad. But cannot say it was good. Bed. Very comfortable and room very clean but tired looking. Food totally edible but completely bland. Staff efficient but lacking any life. Hotel totally lacks any atmosphere what's so ever.
The best thing about my stay was...Bed was comfortable
