A pleasant complex , pity it's at the top of a quite steep hill , the bar shut really early in a busy month of August ? But for the price you pay its value for money
The best thing about my stay was...Friendly staff , clean rooms and complex

good and bad

We arrived 7th July first 7 days we excellent, there was no problem with swimming pool and sun beds. There was no early stampede to claim beds. But the second week completely different a crowd from uk arrived and the early morning stampede started. From then it was nearly impossible to get a bed. A great number of the beds were claimed by people who had no intention of sitting at the pool until the afternoon. Complaints to reception fell on deaf ears. My suggestion would be to allocate at least one bed to each room and distribute the rest according to family size. This was only issue but is important one.
The best thing about my stay was...staff were polite and helpful ,air conditioning great

Great place pity about the sun beds
The apartments were basic but really clean and nice, ours had air-conditioning which cost €23 refundable on leaving. Cleaners seemed to come every other day and changed the sheets once in the 2 weeks. The out side areas were kept spotless. There is a bar on site serving food and drink which was reasonable in price. There is also a small shop good for fresh bread however the Lidl 5 minutes walk away is much better value. There was 15 in our group 8 adults and 7 kids. The first week there was no problem with sun beds at the pool, when people were at the pool they had a towel on the bed if they left they took it meaning there was always free beds (although there were 15 in our group we only ever used 3/4 sun beds). This changed in the second week when with a change of people there was like a bull run for beds at 0830 in the morning and towels were left on beds all day with no one using them. The selfishness was unreal and staff would not do anything despite as they told us getting 15/20 complaints a day. On arriving you are given an A4 sheet with rules and in bold it states towels on beds will be removed if not used, this did not happen and the management didn't care. There were even alterations with guests over the issue as one group in particular took 10/15 beds a day and were never there to use them. Based on the first week I would go back tomorrow but on the second I wouldn't, we spent our days at the beach in the second week rather then get annoyed at the pool.
The best thing about my stay was...Nice complex

Great basic apartment with plent of sunbeds
Decent place, not what I would consider "superior" by any means. Really nice to be there when it was fairly quiet. It's set back from the front so a 10 minute walk to the front or 15 to the shopping centre. There is a hill you need to walk up so need to be reasonably mobile!
The best thing about my stay was...Cheap and cheerful

Basic Apartment's clean with all you need for a self catering holiday
We were very disappointed with our apartment so we asked to move to one of the poolside apartments, but this wasn't possible as there was no availability. The only apartment we could change to was the disabled apartment which we chose to do as it was slightly better than apartment 120.
The best thing about my stay was...Weather was good, nice pool with plenty of sun loungers

Just had a nice 10 days at Bitacora. Nice.warm welcome from Rodri on reception who explained all to us. Always helpful and pleasant. Two of us in a one bedroom "superior" apartment. Spacious furnished lounge with sofa bed, bathroom with bath and shower over, hair dryer. Kitchen area with two electric rings, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Enough crockery and cutlery for four, tiny wine glasses though! Breakfast bar to sit at with four stools. Tv with British channels. Two single beds, large wardrobes space with safe in bedroom. All adequate and clean. Balcony with table, four chairs and a clothes drier.Restaurant and bar on site, all good and well priced.Well stocked supermarket on site also, good prices. Large swimming pool and childs pool, plenty of sunbeds around, although one side did not get any sun all day. Water cold in pools.
The best thing about my stay was...Nice staff

We have just returned from spending a wonderful week @ Bitacora, this is our second time staying and it was even better than the first time. There is everything you need in the apartments and the Pools, Sun Bathing area and Bar are fantastic. The staff always want to do their best to make sure your holiday is as relaxing and stress free as possible, they are so flexible and attentive. Breezer's Bar on site is exceptional, great food & drink especially the Cocktails, they can never do enough. A big shout out to Jenny & Daisy @ Breezer's miss you loads already & hopefully see you soon Donna & Nicolette.
The best thing about my stay was...Loved all of it!

The best thing about my stay was...Was there over St Patricks day and had great time at party in the harbour.Weather was also fantastic.

just back from lanzarote on sept 28th.my sray at Bitacora was disappointing because I booked based on reviews I had read.when I arrived the guy on reception was very helpful with excellent English but when I got my room the first problem presented its self "how do I open the door".after much turning of the key I gave up and got the guy at the desk to show me which took some time to master(seemingly its a security measure). I asked for a room with sea view not realising there wasn't one but what I got was a big letdown,i got a room on the ground floor around the corner with a view of the gable wall of the other apartment block. I had no pool view and the only sunshine that I got was in the bedroom first thing in the morning and that wasn't for long. ther was a problem with the bedside light which the maintanance guy fixed by twiddling around with the cable the shower head holder was in two bits on the edge of the bath and I needed to report ntwice before it was repaired and still wouldn't support the showerhead which meant every time I used it I had to hold it in my hand. I went for breakfast one morning as I was going cycling(I usually got it down town).ther was nothing wrong with the quality of the food but it was priced on the menu at 3.25but the juice and coffee was an add on which brought it up to 6.00 which I fell was excessive as the very same breakfast in my usual spot was only 2.50 with an 18 cent tax also halfway through breakfast the old lady looking after the tables asked me was I finished with the sugar and milk which was presented on a saucer and took them to another table( looked like there was only 1 set it looked bad. the approach roads were up 2 steep hills which made it hard to navigate and was a bit of a turnoff. overall I had a very enjoyable holiday(which I always do)and will be returning next year but wont be staying at the Bitacora.
The best thing about my stay was...the weather and the easy going attitude to life

Myself and my partner stayed at the Bitacora apartments in April. We found them peaceful and clean. It was an enjoyable experience and we are hoping to visit these apartments again with our daughter. The food was nice and the staff were friendly. It is also close to most of the tourist hotspots.
The best thing about my stay was...Relaxing by the pool

late deal booked, not disappointed.
Went on a cheap last minute deal. Don't expect the Ritz for the price you pay. Then you won't be disappointed, clean friendly place. Decor a little dated but would have no problem returning in the future. Ideal for family's and couples. Little hilly for the walk home, but central location is easy for New and old town nights/days out. Nice full English breakfast, snack bar staff very friendly.
The best thing about my stay was...nice pool area, plenty of Sun beds. friendly staff.

Clean, Lovely pool, adequate rooms
We have returned to the Bitacora Club apartments for the fifth time this Sept 2013. For us it is situated in an ideal postion. Although it is at the top of a hill from the strip it is only 5 - 10 mins walk either way to the Old town or the Strip. The rooms are basic but adequate. There are 4 english channels for those that like to keep up with the soaps. The guys on reception are helpful and the bar by the pool is also good. Although we did not use it the food that I did see looked lovely and they had a happy hour. All in all another lovely holiday and looking forward to booking again for March 2014
The best thing about my stay was...Pool, cheapness of room, quiteness
