Great hotel

Lovely hotel in a good location. Friendly staff and clean spacious rooms. Breakfast served buffet style and of a good quality. Well presented and hot. Can't find any thing negative to say about this hotel.

The best thing about my stay was...

NICE CLEAN ROOM - WATCH FOR ADDITIONAL CHARGES

ROOM WAS NICE AND CLEAN ALTHOUGH A LITTLE ON THE COLD SIDE. WAS'NT EXPECTING TO PAY €10 FOR CAR PARK CHARGE FOR OVERNIGHT STAY. THE FOOD WHILE IT LOOKED LOVELY WAS SERVED LUKEWARM AND QUITE EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT WE GOT. I WOULD HAVE COMPLAINED BUT WAS IN A RUSH AND DID'NT HAVE TIME WAIT AROUND. ALSO TRIED ORDERING TWO DRINKS WHICH HAD TO ASK FOR 3 TIMES BEFORE I GOT AND ENDING UP PAYING €14 FOR 2 GLASSES OF WINE. ADVICE ON STAYING HERE WOULD BE TAKE ROOM ONLY BASIS AND EAT AND DRINK ELSEWHERE. GOOD LOCATION ALSO

The best thing about my stay was...

ROOM WAS CLEAN AND RECEPTION STAFF WERE VERY NICE

Really, really good. Great value for money.

We stayed three nights at a really excellent price, and were surprised with a junior suite rather than the standard double we expected. it was a mockery that we paid so little. My girlfriend really loved it, and the breakfasts in the morning were delicious. Highly recommend.

The best thing about my stay was...

The Junior Suite

Lesson well learnt

I never do reviews, but feel I have to warn others on my experence of this particular hotel. My wife and I stayed in the Berkeley Court on Thursday 10th May 2012. What can I say.... On the plus side the hotel is adequately located, and looks well. On the negative side, the bar staff are no more bothered about customer care, you are tossed your drink and a frown, not even so much as a please or a thank you. The room itself was stone cold, due to the radiator not working, however after "some" discussions with reception they eventually sent a electric heater to the room, which I refused to use since it was evident that it was in a poor state of repair. (Would have been hazardous to sleep with it on at night). After some further discussions we were eventually given another room at 11.45pm To top everything off the Parking at the hotel was also charged for, which I feel is excessive for a 4 star hotel. The staff which were on the morning shift (Breakfast) were more than nice to be fair. To conclude, a lesson well learnt, but shall not be returning

The best thing about my stay was...

Great hotel

Stayed here for one night. Very helpful reception staff and room was very comfortable. Size was good, very clean and well maintained. Did not use the restaurant or bar facilities so cannot comment on those. Recommend this to anyone! Use the no. 7 bus from outside the hotel to get into the city centre in about 10mins!

The best thing about my stay was...

The quality of the room

A hint of more glamourous time gone by

The lobby has retained its magnificence of by gone years. Bedrooms are small but functional. Walls are thin and unfortunately our Italian neighbours were quite loudly having a morning tiff. The staff were fine if a little lacking in initiative but overall service was good. Yes, I would recommend anyone to stay there. A good walk into the city centre and the Miss Ireland Competition was being run there the following day so the place was humming!

The best thing about my stay was...

The Sheer Elegance
