Hotel Info

Overview

The "Finca de las Salinas" Hotel is situated in the beautiful village of Yaiza, in the south of Lanzarote away fom the hustle and bustle of the tourist centres, with excellent views of the National Park of Timanfaya, and near the beaches of Papagayo. Peace and tranquility are a must. The "Finca de las Salinas" is a splendid rural hotel which abounds in creativity and originality. It is an old 18th century mansion. Refined architecture, ochre and white, with a romantic passageway of exotic trees, this period building is decorated with a balanced mixture of well preserved antiques and designer furniture. It is easy to discover the seductive little corners of the rooms offering views of the lava fields which surround them, and to sit in the restaurant full of colour and style, tasting some typical dishes from a well run Canarian kitchen.

10/10 Amazing

17 January 2011

Finca Las Salinas

We stayed here for the last night of our holiday, after a week self catering - fabulous old building with interesting architecture in a great location in the small, traditional mountain town of Yaiza. Good base for visiting dramatic western coastline. We were upgraded to a suite which was fantastic, great big wooden shuttered windows, views of the mountains, a terrace and lovely old furniture - I kept expecting some Spanish colonial era aristocrats to waltz in at any moment. The food in the restaurant was amazing, we had a special 6 small course menu of delightful specialities: on a two for one January deal it was affordable. Breakfast also great, cooked and buffet and lots of pastries and coffee. If you want to stay somewhere a bit different come here, if you want a shiny modern hotel or Irish bars and full English breakfasts, maybe not for you.

The best thing about my stay was...

The building and the views
