Very quiet resort in the Eastern Algarve
Robert Mcilwraith, Bathgate
Very quiet resort not suitable for anyone thats looking for nightlife or entertainment. Beautiful white sands that stretch for miles . Never too busy even in the peak summer months . Perfect for young families looking for a totally relaxing holiday without any of the touting or hastle of Albufiera.

Lovely place but too quiet for us
Rosemary, lagos portugal
We found Altura very quiet with not a lot going on. The hotel has beautiful pools and is on a lovely beach if you just want to sun bathe or lie on the beach. We prefer somewhere more lively and I would think a car to get around is essensial. I prefer nearby Montegordo, although we did find a couple of very friendly and good snack bars/restruarnts to eat. The Tapas bar just round the corner from the hotel done lovely grilled chicken and big drinks at a very reasonable price.
