Blanes-beautiful Blanes !!!

Polecam wycieczki do Barcelony (kolej renfe, 1,5g jazdy).

The best thing about my stay was ...

annual fiesta and cocnurs fire-works !!!

Around the corner from the very first holiday

Blanes was definitely worth the visit, it was just around the corner from the first holiday abroad I ever went on (Lloret De Mar). I made a Holiday at Blanes, and enjoyed the new adventure, because it was new at the time, but I also found a place i'd be happy to go back there again, because it is an enjoyable location, to explore so many other locations in the area.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Once you find your feet in this location it is a good home base for so much more.

A living town with a resort

Blanes is a living town that has a vibrant fishing industry and also has a resort. The long promenade along the fine beach is a pleasure to stroll or just observe the natives and tourists strolling in the evening is very relaxing. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes. Public transport is very good and reasonable

The best thing about my stay was ...

The resort is not tacky

Family friendly

Blanes is quite quiet for a vacation town, you dont get harassed by sellers and only a few annoying flower sellers, that left after 1 no thanks. The daily green market and the weekly huge market was nice. You can get a hint of the real spanish culture there with the narrow streets, buildings, churches and castle.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Quiet, beautiful beach.

Blanes was a nice spot but more suited for older people. Very little to do for kids and there was no entertainment in our area. Lloret de mar is more lively and has more to do. It's only 3.50 euro adult return on the bus. I'd recommend getting the train to Barcelona as it goes along the coast with great views. This cost 11.80 euro adult return and takes about an hour and a half.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Cafes, Beach

Fairly quiet

we went at the very start of the season so some places were not open. we didn't think there was enough choice of night eating restaurants. we didn't go into the town centre so would be unfair to pass negative comment. We jumped on a bus which was easy & cheap into LLoret de mar just up the coast where it was more exciting. overall Blanes would be a second choice but see my comment on town centre. If we had gone into the town centre my comments could be very different.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The bus service out of the place.

Typical Costa Brava summer city.

Not much to do in Blanes, but they do have some nice markets and the old town as many smaller shops located all over, which makes it nice in stead of having one main street with all the shops. Nice, long golden beach (S'Abanell) with not so fine sand. Very clean, clean public toilets, kiosks etc. Different eating options in the area.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The people were friendly.

sorry can't say so much about Blanes as we were staying in the area to attend a wedding in another town. What I can say is that we struggled to find a nice place to eat.
