Despite its reputation Magalluf does actually have a lot to offer outside of drinking and sunbathing. The resort offers a great range of activities which are certain to keep people of all ages happy.
DJ’s, daiquiris and dancing...
Magalluf offers one of the best clubbing scenes in Europe and in past years has attracted a number of top DJ’s including Judge Jules and Dave Pearce. A trip to Magalluf isn’t complete without a trip to the infamous “strip”. A huge street made up of bars and clubs to suit every taste. Don’t miss a trip to BCM, Magalluf’s biggest club with a capacity of over 4000 people. Party goers flock here every night making it one of the most popular venues on the island. Lennon’s bar, located in the middle of the strip is also well worth a visit, it has the biggest terrace in the resort and is an ideal place to start the night as well as Daiquiri Palace which offers some of the most amazing frozen cocktails you’ll ever taste!
Hungry as a….”Hog”?
It’s almost impossible to know where to start when describing Magalluf’s many restaurants and cafes. Of course there is everything you would expect from a Brits abroad resort including McDonalds, Burger King and every other takeaway you can think of but Magalluf does have so much more to offer. Make sure to include a trip to the Hog House for great value and delicious roast dinners but bare in mind it gets very busy on a Sunday. Also try a trip to Tom Brown’s restaurant with a menu so massive you’ll never be able to decide what to have. Magalluf also has a range of international dining available from Italian to Mexican and Indian to traditional Spanish Tapas. Whatever you fancy to eat Magalluf is sure to have something on offer.
Pirates Magalluf is a great alternative to Magalluf’s lively night-scene and is a fantastic night out for guests of all ages which have attracted over 3 million visitors since it opened in the mid 1980s. The show features a life sized pirate ship as well as a range of talented dancers, gymnasts and acrobats which guarantees a magical night. For those fancying something a bit racy why not try “Pirates Uncut” which is a late night x-rated version of the show, featuring less clothes and more bad language! For something a bit different guests should try a visit to the House of Katmandu, an upside down house (yes really!) which features a range of oddities and articles. See how long you can keep your hand in a tank of water kept at the same temperature as the waters in which the Titanic sunk or brave the 4D cinema for a completely unique experience. For a cheap day out try the mini-golf or just chill out on the Magalluf beach, a beautiful 1600 metres stretch of golden sand that has been awarded the gold flag for cleanliness. The usual water sports and pedalos can also be hired here.
