Very nice quiet area, beautiful beach and marina

We loved this area as it has lots of restaurants, but, none of the usual tack associaed with package holiday areas like British pubs. There is fine food if you are not vege. If you are vege, then its pizza only really or omelette, but, you can get very nice pizzas. We loved porto cristo, as it has a lovely beach with crystal clear waters and beautiful cliffs surrounding. Very reccommended.

Many attractions especially access to the Caves of Drach

Porto Cristo has a beautiful marina, a handy town beach and is close to many other lovely bays just a short distance away. Wonderful for swimming and snorkeling. Many good restaurants in Porto Cristo and nearby areas. Shopping is good with lovely boutiques. We had a hire car which we found very useful for exploring the area. Lively at night during the festival time in early July.

Porto Cristo, Majorca

A pretty, fairly small resort with a main strip of bars, shops etc around and along the front of the marina and beach. Sadly, a good few of these were closed and looked as though they had been for some time, borne out by the owners of Bar Alibi (home of wonderful but lethal Sangria courtesy of Shirley) who were planning to return to Britain in October. There was no nightlife to speak of, but that suited us as we were looking for a quiet space to relax and this was definitely it.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The promenade with the walk round to the small caves and the Caves of Drach

Tired old resort

Porto Cristo looks like the kind of place that once enjoyed the boom of tourism to Mallorca many years ago, but now just looks tired and built up, with the amenities limited to a few front line bars/restaurants, and nothing new to appeal to new tourists. Saddening that this is becoming much the case for the rest of Mallorca.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The road out, if you can find it...
