Laid back beach side resort

Torrox Costa has a huge retired expat community. It's not far from major centres like Nerja and Malaga. You don't get the masses of crowds but you do have relatively easy proximity. It doesn't have the charm of older towns or the bustle of busier towns but has an easy going feel.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Close to my family

A quiet resort, ok as a base for touring.

I visited Torrox Costa during a period of very bad weather. Ideally you should have a car to enable you to explore the area, and not rely on local transport. There is not a lot to do in Torrox other than beach and promenade but it is fine as a base from which to explore the nearby towns and villages. A must to visit is the Caves at Nerja. Also Torre del Mar has more character that Torrox Costa and is worth a visit.
