Great location & great service
The best thing about this hotel is the location - in the Gothic Quarter, a couple of minutes walk from Las Ramblas (not sure of the attraction to be honest), about 15 mins walk from Arc de Triomf, 5 mins from Placa Reial and near Metro & Bus stops. Rooms are functional, compact and tidy (though no tea / coffee facilities sadly) and it looks as though there is a refurbishment programme at the moment. The room overlooked the atrium / courtyard so not much to look at and the sounds did reverberate if guests were chatting late at night. There was a fairly good cold buffet choice for breakfast but if you don't like bacon and eggs you are pretty stuck for hot food. Not a problem for a short stay. Complimentary coffee and cake for most of the day until about 10.30pm. All the staff were really friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Good recommendations for eating out. There is charge of €2 per night for the safe witch is unusual these days. A minor problem in the bathroom was resolved quickly and without fuss. Recommended for a short stay and somewhere to sleep after a long day sightseeing.

This isn't a bad city break hotel. It's in a great location, clean, friendly, and breakfast was lovely. Our room was small but adequate. The bathroom is a good size but the bath was quite small. The room on the top floor was also very warm and as the window opened into an internal square there was little breeze or draft. However, any negatives were made up for by cleanliness, the breakfast, the staff, and the fabulous location beside a church and square with cafes and bars.
The best thing about my stay was...The location, complimentary tea and coffee and staff

Absolutely lovely hotel, we've just come back from 4 nights at the Raco Del Pi and have already decided we would return. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, excellent rooms and service, lovely breakfast buffet with lots of choice, free tea and coffee available. Perfectly situated to explore Barcelona, especially the wonderful myriad of streets in the gothic quarter, great shopping on the doorstep couldn't have been better!

We stayed here for 2 nights with a group of friend in November and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff couln't have been more friendly and helpful, giving lots of advice on where to go, places to eat etc. Very nicely furnished, nibbles and cava, and coffee available free, and excellent breakfast of both hot and cold food. Very near to main sites in Barcelona and easy to walk to Rablas, seafront, cathedral. On street with shops but little noise at night as no traffic apart from rubbish collectors. Our room was a little cold over night but not sure if heating part of aircon working - others in our group said theirs was fine and we were not there long enough to worry about it.

Friendly and helpful Hotel staff, allowed us to check into room when we arrived at 10 am. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Rooms a high standard with a tasty breakfast. Would strongly recommend.

Perfect location for Barri Gothic and La Ramblas
Derren Vincent, Gibraltar
Great budget hotel so you need to go out to eat and drink which means there is no atmosphere in the bar which is only open for one hour. However, atmosphere in the shops and tapas bars in the Barri Gothic more than compensate. Breakfast is worthwhile having but better value when paid within your booking rate rather than at the hotel. Staff all very happy and helpful. Rooms are small and fine for the price especially when you are out most of the time anyway.
The best thing about my stay was...The City, Gaudi, Barri Gothic

Beware of rooms with little or no window!!
Anne Shearer, Dumfriesshire
Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of September with a friend. Hotel is lovely, staff are friendly, breakfast is really good and ideally situated for all the sights and, unfortunately, SOUNDS of the city!! I have stayed here before with my daughter and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience which is why I booked again. Please be aware that some of the rooms are very small but they are classed as doubles. We were given a room on the top floor, room 402. When we got there we searched for the window, it was at floor level with bars across it measuring about 3ft by 2ft with no means of actually seeing out and definitely no escape in the event of a fire! If you are at all anxious in confined spaces this will freak you out as it did me. We were moved the next day but put in a terrible night in that room. Next room was small but had a balcony facing front-bad idea-if a marching band had gone by I wouldnt have been at all surprised because everything else and their dog had been before!! Still love the hotel but would be wary about staying again because of the bedrooms. I would recommend room 202 or 302 as these are large bedrooms although they do face front.
The best thing about my stay was...Lovely welcoming hotel, good breakfast, friendly staff and good situation.

Easy to see Barcelona
R Brookling, Amersham
Clean and tidy hotel although room was a little basic, but you only wash and sleep there, easy access to the centre of Barcelona and all those places you want to visit. WARNING: there are many professional pick pockets in Barcelona, they use diversion tactics or they are just very good at picking and we were very aware and vigulant. But my wife lost her iPhone in less than a second, from an over the shoulder bag held across her tummy with a clasp lock in a not very busy bar ! WATCH OUT
The best thing about my stay was...Access to Barcelona central

We have just returned from our second visit to this hotel. Once again we cannot fault the experience. From the friendly welcome given by all of the staff to the excellent central location. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will definately visit again.
