Fun & exciting city break
Nicola Coulson, Newcastle Upon Tyne
This hotel is ideally situated on Carrer de Princessa about 10 mins walk from Las Ramblas a further 5 mins up to Place de Catalunya or down to the harbour area. The hotel is trendy and minimalist. Rooms are areasonable size (for a city break). Wooden floors, huge double bed, table with 2 chairs, lots of hanging space, free safe. The bathroom has a lovely large red hot shower - shower gel & soap are provided along with lovely fluffy towels. The rooms do not have tea / coffee making facilities but there are plenty of places to grab a coffee within steps of the hotel. Reception staff are really friendly and informative. The roof terrace is gorgeous, small but perfect for early morning coffee or chilling with a glass of wine after a day sightseeing. The pool is small, you can't swim in it - more of a dip to cool down. However, it's lovely and peaceful up there and you get a cracking view of Barcelona. First floor you have the use of 2 computers (and printer). There is also complimentary bottled water (large and small bottles) available on each floor. We did alot research priorto our visit and were delighted with the location of this hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...Location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms.

Great little hotel - stylish and comfortable - excellent central location
Atticus fan, warwickshire
Website pictures accurate representation of this hotel. Quality better than expected for price we paid. In an area with lots of character - balcony looked onto local apartments. Area was good mix of interesting shops, bakeries, bars and pavement bars used by locals and tourists. (Small) rooftop pool was great place to cool down after a day in this busy lively city. Also terrace was good place to enjoy food and drink bought locally or just relax with a drink in the evening. Free chilled water on each floor was very welcome. Our room was stylish and comfortable, big enough with adequate clothes storage. Also free safe in the room and helpful and polite staff. Breakfast was taken in Japanese 'arty' restaurant attached to hotel and enjoyed very much - fresh bread, cheese, meats, fruit, pastries. Not a full English but why would you go to Barcelona for that? Can't wait to return.
The best thing about my stay was...Pool, rooftop views, proximity to beach, gothic quarter, restaurants, the cat - everything!

WE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL FOR 3 NIGHTS AUG 2012
John Morrison, Dundee
THIS WAS A FANTIC SMALL HOTEL IN A GREAT LOCATION. THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN, MODERN AND THE BED WAS EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. WE HAD A ROOM WITH 2 LONG WINDOWS THAT OPENED TO A BALCONY. THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS AN ESSENTIAL AS BARCELONA WAS VERY, VERY HOT. THE HOTEL STAFF WERE ALL FRIENDLY AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD APART FROM THE HOT SELECTION WHICH WAS OFTEN COLD AND THE EGG WAS DRIED UP EVERY MORNING. i THINK THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN OKAY AT 7AM BUT PASSED ITS BEST FROM THEN ONWARDS.
The best thing about my stay was...THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL AND THE ROOM

four nights in El Born
Liz Morris, Dublin
Perfect location for a few days in Barcelona. Have stayed in Barcelona many times and never in a hotel so central to absolutely everything - Metro stop a two-minute walk away, Placa de Catalunya fifteen minute stroll away, Picasso Museum on next street, the beach a ten-minute stroll from the hotel and a rooftop pool and sun loungers for those who can't be bothered to walk anywhere. Very helpful staff, fluent in many languages, and they couldn't do enough for their guests. Wifi, three computers and free bottles of water in a chilled cabinet on first floor.
The best thing about my stay was...location - great to be able to wander around the bars near Place Sant Jaume and stroll back to the hotel

perfect location for a short stay in Barcelona, right in the heart of the city. Very near Metro Jaume 1, short walk from Barrio Gotico and Placa Catalunya within strolling distance. A bit noisy at night but that's what you get for being so close to so many great tapas bars. Would definitely use hotel again. Staff all extremely helpful and people on reception speak many languages and couldn't do enough for you.
The best thing about my stay was...Free chilled water on first and third floors, pool and loungers on the terrace upstairs, and free wifi on first floor

This Hotel was really nice, staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included and offered a good variety. The pool on the roof top is small but it offers a lovely area to relax. I would return to this hotel. The location is brill really close to everything but yet quiet enough to sleep at night
The best thing about my stay was...Free Ice cold water on every floor :)

On the whole good value for money
Bobbie Sansom, Bristol
On the whole we were very happy with this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was very varied and there was lots of of it. The hotel has been completely refurbished in a very contemporary design. The rooms were good. Not overly large but adequate and very clean. There is free mineral water available in fridges on every floor which was a great bonus. The rooms are supposed to be soundproof but we could hear noise from the people on the roof as were on the top floor. Although this was minimal. The pool on the roof was a bit of a disappointment as it is very small as is the decking area but great for lounging around and the view is amazing across the roof tops of Barcelona. The hotel is pretty central. A short walk to La Rambla, a stones thrown from the Picasso Museum and fairly close to the beach too. The road is probably not the smartest in the city but I would certainly revisit this hotel and would recommend it. Definitely good value for money.
