Lovely and quiet
Clair , Lancashire uk
Great place to stop, very quiet. Staff really friendly. Very clean
The best thing about my stay was...Peace and quiet

We picked it for the price. It is very basic, and as there is no bar, there is nobody hanging out. So if you like being left alone, with no attmosphere, then it is your place. Long walk to the strip, but that is no big issue. Place is clean, simple and thats all you get. Did not spot a single cockroach! Most eople that stay there only use it as a place to sleep. No issue with safety either.

Lovely quiet area
Lovely quiet area to return too after an enjoyable day/night out. The staff are very friendly and the apartments/grounds are kept very clean and tidy. Two local mini marts or a larger Spar store are very close by to keep you topped up with refreshments and snacks.
The best thing about my stay was...A good quiet night sleep

You get what you pay for. Staff were so helpful about everything. We wanted upstairs and in the main complex so were disappointed -we had vision of where we were going to stay, but were put over the road as was quieter. It is situated in a good place easily to walk to and in a safe area. Sheets were very old, The single beds were okay, but room was dark and sofa bed lumpy.
The best thing about my stay was...The people who ran it, so friendly so helpful, so clean would stay there again, for the price cleanlines, and family who run it.

A lovely tranquil setting very clean. Had slight problem with the shower head it wasn't a problem it was fixed straight. Apartment was very spacious and clean, maid came in every day (I'm sure she didn't have a day off) can't fault these apartments at all. If you want it busy and rowdy these apartments are not for you, but if you want peace and quiet book here.
The best thing about my stay was...The peace and quiet.

little things could make it soo much better
ann masterson, wexford ireland
a little dissapointed in the service here apt was ok but a few things that could make a difference like a mirror in bedrooms a hanging rail in 2nd bedroom a bit of music on during the day we were saved by las tulipanes next door those are just small things that could make soo much difference now the bigest thing that we were annoyed about was the changing of towels we had to ask them to change 4 days in and we were 8 days before the changed sheets cleaning wasnt great
The best thing about my stay was...no charge for safe and they were kind enough to let us stay in apt untill our bus arrived

Overall good economy apartments.

These are very quite apartments, in two sections. The main part has reception, large pool with shallow part suitable for children, there is no pool bar or entertainment. You have to go to reception/pool area to be able to receive FREE Wi-Fi. All the sun loungers here are on the balconies/patios. This means if you are based in the 2nd section you are unable to sunbathe in this area. The 2nd section (where I was staying) is on the other side of Calla Finlandia, sandwiched between two other apartments. It was obvious once part of one of the other complexes. About 8 apartments on this block & has its own small pool. Steps at 1.6m end & none at 0.7m end. I found I was unable to enter pool at the shallow end. Pool showers were not working. There is a small solarium, which is good on windy days. Plenty sunloungers & a few padded covers. Saying this there were not many tourist staying while I was there. T.V. limited. I did have just Europe news channel & sports in English, but after speaking to Miguel (the manager), he gave me different T.V. with satellite box. This provided 3 USA reality channels, Todo Cine (some films in English)& kids programmes in English. My apartment- FREE SAFE!! Access single door, good key lock. Lounge- sofa, T.V, 2 armchairs, Kitchen-2 ring hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, basic utensils. No spatula, tin opener or egg cup. Bedroom- window has metal slatted shutters providing secure access to fresh air. 2 single beds, 2 blankets provided/usual. Bathroom- usual + bidet, no complimentary toiletries! Laundry room- access to fresh air, clothes horse. Patio-patio table & chairs. Cleaned nearly everyday, sheets changed at least once during my stay. Left for 6days with no clean towels - poor! Miguel was very helpful, would provide/change anything you asked for. His English is good! Site clean, tidy & generally in a good state of repair. I rarely heard any noise. 10mins walk from beach. I walk slowly!
The best thing about my stay was...Quite & friendly. Free safe & Wi-Fi a definite plus

Clean, basic & quiet
Alistair Donald, Bonnyrigg
This is our second stay here, the apartments are basic, there was someone in every couple of days to clean, the appartments are pretty basic & it's a walk to the beach (10 mins) so if you don't want to walk maybe think twice. We would stay again

godd clean basic apartments
When we first arrived, we were allocated 2 apartments on other side of the road from main complex. These were very dated, and had no hot water at any time . After complaining for 3 days to Miguel, we were allocated 2 apartments in main complex which had been renovated ,and were like night, and day from what we had been allocated originally. The location is good, approximately 10 minute walk to beach, and 3 euros in taxi. The complex is peaceful. Would recommend for mature groups or couples

Excellent as always - Very quiet - Pool to oursleves as always
harry shorrock, Blackburn
We have stopped at La Laguneta around 5 times now & each time as been great. Apartments are basic with all facitlities needed for selfcatering & are clean & tidy. With only 16 apartments, the pool area is usually to oursleves, as hardly anybody goes in, due to each apartment having its own large patio area with sun loungers, table & chairs. Also has free WiFi around the reception area & is only 10 minutes in a taxi (€12) from the airport.
The best thing about my stay was...Quite area & only 10 minutes walk to the main strip of Peurto Del Carmen & 10 minutes taxi ride from the airport

You get what you pay for - and more
Gill Craggs, Stockton-on-Tees
Arrived after reception was closed, however Miguel's telephone number was plastered all over, so one quick call and he appeared, he was very welcoming and throughout our stay was very accomodating. These apartments are clean and some of the best equipped we have been to - microwave, kettle & toaster - we've had to hire some of these in the past! Pool area is lovely and to have your own sun beds with proper mattresses on your terrace was indeed luxury. The location of these apartments is also excellent being a 10 minute stroll - on the flat to the main avenida Basically these apartments are excellent value for money - you do get what you pay for but these do exceed expectations

great apartment very spacious
Jane , Falmouth/Cornwall
Great service from Miguel the Manager and the cleaning staff. Friendly and helpful, he even let us stay an extra night free due to a mess up with the booking when it looked as if we were leaving a day early. He had waited up til past midnight the previous day expecting us to arrive a day early. There is about a 15 minute walk into the main area of Puerto Del Carmen to all the restaurants and bars which we enjoyed twice a day. The main beach was great lovely and clean. Easy to do boat tours and take buses for other attractions such as the Market on Sunday and glass bottom boats etc. Fantastic place would stay there again definitely.
The best thing about my stay was...The amount of entertainment nearby and restaurants. Lovely sandy beach. All lovely with the gorgeous weather.

Just got back from 3 weeks in Lanzarote staying at La Laguneta, great stay, lovely and quite and Miguel was a jovial host. Walk down on to the "strip" and the nearest beach takes 5 -10 mins so far enough away to be quite at night. Apartments are basic but clean and all you need for a good base to enjoy the rest of the island. We will be back again next year
The best thing about my stay was...Relaxing

My friend and I have just returned from a week away 20th to 28th May 2010 staying at the La Laguneta. The accomodation is situated approximately 10 minutes walk away from the main strip and beach. It is only 10 minutes from the airport and costs between 12 to 15 euros in a taxi. We stayed in a one bedroom appartment which was basic but clean and very quiet. There are two sunbeds to each appartment which is great for sunbathing outside the appartment. The owner Miguel was very nice and friendly. The weather was hot for most of the week with only one day when the sun didnt want to come out. When the sun was out it was very hot and although I dont usually burn I have done this week (plenty of sun cream needed). I personally would not like to go to Lanzarote in July or August as it would be too hot. The resort and beach are very nice with lots of choice for places to eat at reasonable prices. There is entertainment on in many of the bars ranging from live music to pub quizes, karaoke, bingo and in a bar called The Barge Inn there was Deal or No Deal which my friend got picked out to do and won 60 Euros. I would recommend the Rat Pack Night at a bar called Keene which is situated at the start of the old town which was brilliant. Its quite a walk to the old town (which is very pretty) from the appartments but its only 3 euro for a taxi back. We had a lovey meal in a little restaurant at the bottom of the strip which I cant remember the name but it is near the Alloe Vera shop and there is nobody outside trying to get people in. It is run by a couple the man Spanish and his wife is English but has lived in Spain since 1978. We called in for a drink one night and noticed that some of the tables were reserved and looked at the prices which were reasonable and decided to eat there - the meal was lovely. We did one trip one this holiday to Fire Mountain (The Volcan Grill) which was good value for money at 30 euro including a meal which was nice. Overall a good holiday with lots of sun and relaxation and I will definitely visit Lanzarote again.

We were very pleased with the accomodation which was of good standard in peaceful surroundings but not far from the town and we would certainly go there again.

"Cheap n cheerful"
Mr C. Wright, Ireland
I’ve just returned from another great week in Lanzarote. This was my first time staying at Laguneta. The apartment I had was No22 which was an upstairs apartment across the road from the main complex. If you are hiring a car with the intention of going out everyday exploring the island, which is what I was doing, this is a very handy place to stay being situated just off the main link road at the back of P.D.C. It is so easy to get in and out with a car avoiding all the hassle of driving in town. There is also ample parking right outside the door. It is in a quietish spot at the back of the town, but only about 10 minutes walk from the beach/strip etc so is also handy for the beach, food, drink etc, without being in the thick of the main touristy bit. There’s a pool and small patio area right outside the door which gets sun nearly all day. The apartment was reasonably clean, but to be fair, pretty basic and badly in need of a refurbishment. Several cupboards had knobs missing, one kitchen door was hanging by only one hinge, drawers had been badly repaired with a random selection of screws and odd nails etc. Pictures on the walls were faded almost to nothing. Some of the switches were loose!! The bathroom was clean but tatty, with an old type of tap shower which had no knob! (a strong pair of fingers were needed to make it work!) The bath was too small to use as a bath! The windows didn’t lock either. In fact most of the bathroom fittings were generally past their best!! The kitchen area is small but adequate. The fridge froze everything even on the lowest setting. There was a toaster, microwave and kettle, but only one socket which was loose!!! (probably because everyone has to keep changing plugs for each appliance) utensils were a bit sparse but I managed ok. The beds were ok, although the covers could do with replacing. (patched and faded etc) Cleaning seemed a bit random, the bed was made most days but not changed all week. The towels were changed on my last day!! Ask for extra toilet rolls before you run out!!!!! The “Boss”, Miguel, was friendly, jolly and helpful. This is definitely a “cheap n cheerful” option for anyone on a budget who doesn’t intend spending too much time in the complex, (a bit like a private hostel really) but if you’re looking for something a bit more comfortable then I would suggest looking elsewhere. The place could very easily be improved with just a few simple repairs, and without huge expense. But they obviously can’t be that bothered. I would probably stay there again because it suited my requirements and price range, and I am used to budget hostel type accommodation. But it wouldn’t suit everyone.

second time there, and can't fault it very much at all. Could do with a double, more comfy bed, but thats it. Location on the quiet part of town, but easy reach of the bars and beach make it great
