Great value winter break
Excellent value for money. Unlimited hot water any time of day, clean towels everyday. The maids were brilliant. Very quiet. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely large balcony. Nice reception and bar area with excellent wifi but some heating would have made them perfect. Friendly and helpful staff.
The best thing about my stay was...Great balcony for morning sun

We have returned to this aparthotel at least once a year for at least 20 years; that should speak for itself! The location is ideal for those who are happy walkers: it's a 20 minute walk to the excellent beach one way and the town centre the other. There is a courtesy bus, though it works only in the busy season and a local bus which runs only on weekdays. There is a bar where a member of staff will provide a meal at almost any time. All the rooms have at least one balcony with excellent views. The manager does a good job trying to keep potentially noisy 'yobbish' groups away.
The best thing about my stay was...The staff!

Prima prijs- kwaliteit verhouding!
Fam. v. Leerzem, Landgraaf, Nederland
The best thing about my stay was...Ruim en schoon appartement

Friendly And Very nice.
We loved it here, really nice place, you pay for wat you get basically, The rooms was just as we expected, The only reason why i havnt gave this 5 star is because some of the kitchen items were broken, like the toasters handle was snapped off so it made it hard for us to hold it down while it cooked, and the kettle button wasnt there, so we had to use a knife to press it and that could be dangerous, but other than that it was perfect :)
The best thing about my stay was...The Staff :)

Great Hotel Staff
Craig Dilasser, Biggar
Although the accomodation needs upgraded, new bathroom and kitchen required, the rooms are very clean and the staff are very pleasant, location is quiet about ten minutes walk from the centre. You get what you pay for so dont expect luxury.

Staff very helpful
David Stone, Barnstaple,Devon
would recomend staying here, the staff made us very welcome. Our apartment was very large with 2 balconies and cleaned every day.Good pool area and bar although we spent most of our time on the beach. It was very useful that they had a free bus service to take you to the beach or Portimao, but it wasn`t that far to walk which we did each evening into Praia for the restuarants.
The best thing about my stay was...Lovely area, fantastic beach,we felt that nothing was to much trouble for the Mirachora to help you enjoy your holiday.

Myself and my girlfriend have just returned from a 6 day stay at the Mirachoro II. Very, very basic. After booking a double room (with double bed) we got a room with two tiny single beds. Beds were too hard to sleep on comfortably. You obviously cannot expect miracles for the price you are paying, but a clean room and lights that work would be nice. The light switches are shoddily fixed and the lights on the walls outside only work intermittently, which isn't ideal if you want to spend an evening on the balcony at night. The balcony itself was covered in what looked like thick black tar which had run from the roof. Kitchen cupboard doors were loose, which wouldnt be too bad if they were filled with crockery and cutlery. However, we got one knife, no fork and a dirty cup. The tap barely worked and when it did there was not a sufficient amount of water coming from it. Bathroom was reasonably clean apart from the mould around the window. Shower was stuck to the wall in a 'make-shift' bracket that was hardly fit for purpose. The bar was never occupied by any staff. Pool was far too small for the amount of people that they had crammed around the side. On the website they promise a lot of things, bicycle hire, pool table, table tennis, table football.. All of which were either out of order or completely non-existent. Big dissappointment after reading such promising reviews. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.. If it's just a place to sleep at night then it is ideal. If, however, you are looking for a hotel to spend the whole time at then i would highly advise you to look elsewhere.
The best thing about my stay was...Helpful and friendly staff

excellent value for money
simon and martina, leeds
just returned from this aparthotel and can only say the best value for money we have ever had,yes the rooms are dated but are really large. they are cleaned every day and towels replaced. the location is a little out of the way but the hotels free bus service takes care of most of your needs. the reception staff are superb, nothing is too much trouble. if you want a palace then this is not for you but if you need a 2 star clean friendly base and accept what you paid then this place is ideal
The best thing about my stay was...the size and cleanliness of the apartment

We stayed in the Mirachoro 11 apartments from May 20 to May 30 2011. We found it very good. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The place was very clean and the rooms were cheaned and the towels changed every day. We had a great holiday. There is a courtesy bus to the beech. The rooms are very big with good cooking facilities. Pria Da Rocha itself is lovely with a masive beech, good restaurants and friendly people.

Excellent for what we needed
We have just got back from staying at the Mirachoro II (02/09/2009) and the principle reason for our stay was because it was cheap. £25.00 per night for two of us, we live just out side Skegness and you couldn’t find a B&B for one for that price high season let alone two people, the other reason was we wanted to be further away from the touristy Praia De Rocha. The hotel is a little tired, but it’s clean, the rooms are huge with a double bed room, separately bathroom and lounge/kitchenette with a large balcony. The rooms have a fridge, toaster, kettle, two ring hob perfect if you want to cook bacon and eggs for breakfast. We did smell someone cooking that one day. The staff are friendly, more than willing to help, in fact go out of their way to help and all speak English. There are a couple of staff who are real characters like the guy with curly hair who does the night shift, when ever we came in really late, like morning late, he would say good morning and laugh. (If you need an ironing board we donated one we purchased while we were down there and told the staff that it was for anyone who needed to use it). Our pick up for travelling back wasn’t going to arrive till 5pm and we had to vacate the room, but they provide somewhere to leave your bags and a courtesy suite to shower and change, not even the Algarve Casino Hotel did that and that was 5*. The Mirachoro is a 15 minute walk from Praia De Rocha which we did every evening and found a fantastic Brazilian Buffet Restaurant on the way down the hill, for 10 Euros each you can eat all you want as many times of different fish, different meat, salad, pasta in fact a huge variety of food we couldn’t even come close to eating each dish and we went a couple of times. The maids come in every day to see if you want a change of towels, however, you need to read the policy of towel changes because they are doing their bit for the environment and if you want clean towels every day you will need to leave your towel inside the bath. If you don’t they wont change the towels, they say they are trying to stop pollution from using bleach and washing powder, I say well done for doing your bit. The pool isn’t Olympic size but quite adequate for a hotel outside of Praia de Rocha (most pools outside of the main tourist area are) so it’s no different to any other building of its size. We didn’t use the pool so it was no problem for us. There is a courtesy bus service into Praia De Rocha from the hotel that runs 5 times a day for free. Although the taxis are extremely cheap and safe, we used these usually for going home. We spent most of our time in the town of Portimao as we had already stayed in Praia De Rocha and we were apartment hunting. I love Portimao more than Praia De Rocha, but if you are a tourist and you want bars, and sand (the Praia De Rocha) beach is to die for, its huge, has a lighted board walk with cafes about 200 metres from each other lining it on one side and the beach and the sea on the other, great for walking at night. We finally found our apartment down in Portimao near the harbour and bought it. If you do get a chance to go into the town its well worth the look around and there are hundreds of little cafes as well as a fresh fish and veg market, which is brand new. While we were there a woman complained in the foyer of the crickets which are loud …hello what did she expect the staff to do go around trying to find them and kill them, we laughed our heads off at that…it makes you wonder why some people go on holidays abroad!!!! The funny thing is when you go near crickets they go quiet, can you imagine some poor man going around trying to find those darn crickets!

Basic but good price
Hello, just come back from MirachoroII apartments..Well, you have almost everything you need for a low price, fridge, microwave, kettle..BUT no coffee-maker, the beds are ok, the pool is quite small but if you can go outside the rush-hours, it won't be a problem! Reception staff is nice, they speak English, Spanish or French, and maid comes to change the towels and all the stuff almost everyday( they only speak Portuguese).Don't expect a can-opener or all these little things that are useful for a family, but you can cook, no problem! About the views, avoid the rooms with the view on a kind of urban motorway, cause it's quite difficult to sleep with open windows..and weather can be hot!! Portimao/ Praia da Rocha is a concrete jungle that grows too fast, but it's a good base to visit nicer places as Lagos or Vilamoura. No problem for shopping, you can easily walk to the Lidl or Continente supermarkets, following the famous "V6 urban motorway" opposite the sea. Excuse my English, and I wish you wonderful holidays. These apartments are very dated and very basis but ok if you just want somewhere to sleep and wash. Our apartment was very spacious we did have a few problems with the shower which was very tempremental. The communal areas are very nice and we thought the pool area was ok. Big enough to support the amount of people who wanted to use it at the time. One thing we did notice is that it isn't heated and was cold...we went at the end of August. There is a pool table and a few arcade games not far from the pool. The pool table was a little dated and look like it needed some TLC, but it did work! Staff are friendly and the maid service was everyday with clean towels etc. the complex is very clean and there is a courtesy bus to Praia da Rocha 3 times a day if you want to use it. We walked it took about 20 mins. The beach itself is lovely...extremly clean!

Hotel was what you'd expect for a 3*. Apt spotless (a little dated) but towel change and maid service every day. Pool area tiny, but a courtesy bus to the beach was very welcome. No restaurant in hotel but snack bar ok. Entertainment poor, but Praia de Rocha very accessible by taxi at night (€5)
