I have booked this hotel because of the great deal they had. Definetely did not expect such good service. The room was really lovely, spacious and with a decent size balcony. The room was clean and the view was really nice. We had all inclusive and the best part of it was food. Nice range of different dishes and drinks both in the restaurant and the pool bar. The pools were decent size as well. I have to say that the best part of staying in Mirador was the animation team. Guys really tried hard to entertain the guests throught the whole day and evening. Definetely made staying in the hotel a lot more fun. Would reccomend the hotel to everyone.
The best thing about my stay was...Great atmosphere and lovely food.

Exceeded our expectations
Michael Gaga-Hale, London
Firstly we booked this hotel knowing we were getting a cheap deal. Nearer the time we got bit nervous due to the reviews...DONT - this hotel exceeded our expectations and we had a great week away! The receptionist was so lovely when we arrived. The location was very clean and bright. We had arrived just in time for dinner and was allowed to eat before checking in. The rooms were modern, bathroom good size and the shower was very powerful which we loved. The rooms were cleaned daily, beds made and provided with fresh towels. The balcony was a good size with an area to dry your towels. the only problem we had was not he last 3 mornings at 0700hrs roadworks would begin outside our room. The reception team offered to move us to another room if we wanted. The food was good, a different selection every meal time. Africa, one of the chefs, was so friendly. She always made sure the eggs were cooked to my liking. At lunch and dinner there is a selection of different meat and fish cooked in front of you. Some nights there was duck or half chickens. There was always a selection burgers, chips, hot dogs and ice cream available. Beer, wine and soft drinks available from the self service bar at lunch and dinner only. The pool was really nice, always clean. The children's pool was much smaller with a slide connecting the two pools. A life guard was on duty every day. The sun lounger situation is not great, we had to get up at 07:30 everyday to ensure we got a good spot. Saying that if you didn't, you would still have a sun lounger, just not one that had sun all day. Maybe this was because we stayed end of Sept/Early Oct. The pool bar is great. Wide selection of drinks and spirits. Self serve beer, wine and soft drinks. Ice cream is available during the day. The animation team were fantastic, games for both adults and children throughout the day. They even did a sangria class. There is a kids clubs for children over 4. the animation team also do shows every evening. They work very hard and are great at ensuring you are having a fun time. We had to pay to hire a safe. We also had to pay to hire an iron. We also paid €30 for late check out which allowed us to keep the room until 18:30hrs. We would stay here again, only negative was no aircon in the room but we knew this before booking.
The best thing about my stay was...The animation team

A fantastic gem!
This is a fantastic hotel. Opinions vary on what is important in a hotel and what is on but for us what was really important was the room and hotel layout - especially regarding the pool area. This was the deciding factor in us choosing the Mirador by Dunas as it was large, wide, with plenty of sun beds in prime location, with the added bonus of a whirlpool and a separate kiddies pool so adults can swim in peace. The rooms were very generously proportioned - we had 2 (we changed rooms when initially sandwiched between young families with screaming kids) and both were very nice and even included a fridge. Our top floor room - the room we switched to - had a huge balcony, about 20 ft long, with double aspect sliding doors. Other blocks had smaller balconies though but even then, our first room had a balcony a good 10x6 feet. Block F is the section to be housed in if you're without kids. A brilliant and unexpected bonus was the all-inclusive bar because in my past experience, you get served watered-down rubbish so imagine my surprise when the drinks were not only strong but poured plentifully. Gin, vodka, vermouth, Malibu, whiskey: each time the barmen let them flow freely - a fantastic touch, Dunas. The food ranged from standard 3 star to 3.5. Much better than the blandness serves in Sol hotels. Desserts were a letdown as is standard with Spain but breakfasts were superb as was the Chinese buffet. All inclusive food around the pool there throughout the day with chips, hotdogs, burgers and salad and cheese throughout early afternoon; sandwiches in mid afternoon; and cakes in late afternoon. Animation & evening activities were standard but enthusiastically delivered. We enjoyed some nightly entertainment but let down by others (especially the acrobat who marketed themselves as akin to Cirque du Soleil but in reality did little other than prance around). The location is approximately 1.5 miles to Playa Del Ingles and 1.7 miles to Maspalomas and the hotel itself is in a quiet area with just a small precinct including a supermarket, tattoo parlour, cafe and clothes shops and there's also two very nice restaurants about 100 m down the street from the hotel both served great food, large portions and surprisingly cheap. In all honesty though, if you're looking for night life then you're looking at catching a taxi into player Del Ingles at a cost of about four euros. During the day there is a free shuttle bus to and from Maspalomas beach, which is nice. Day-wise, we ventured into Maspalomas on the free bus, marvelled at the many big brands - Rolex, Guess, Armani etc - and enjoyed lunch at one of the many beautiful, high-quality, beachside cafe/restaurants but mainly our aim was to unwind and so we spent the bulk of our time around the hotel pool - something I could not have done if the pool area was not as fantastic as I've described. Just a few small steps to the all-inclusive bar, extra food, whirlpool or even a massage. This has been my favourite hotel and I would not hesitate to book again. In fact, this is the hotel by which all others will be measured and to me is better than 3 star. The staff are great and are multilingual and even though we checked out at midday, we still have full all-inclusive access until our make up, including private use of a hotel room for an hour to shower and change in preparation for our departure. The only downside is the location if you wanted to mooch about but the good news is that there's very little noise and it's just a short taxi ride either to Playa Del Ingles or Maspalomas.
The best thing about my stay was...The pool and free drinks

Czysty i przyjazny dla rodzin
Hotel bardzo czysty pokoje sprzątane w każdym dniu nawet w niedzielę. Jedzenie: duży wybór, co wieczór inna kuchnia włoska, meksykańska, chińska itd itp Obsługa bardzo pomocna i uśmiechnięta 😊. Recepcja pomocna i profesjonalna. Bar przy basenie i barmani pierwsza klasa. Pozdrawiamy Raul. 😀 Baseny czyste i ciepłe. Do tego wypad w góry no i oczywiście aquapark i park z delfinami. Wszędzie jest niedaleko. Nasza pięcio osobowa rodzina mega zadowolona. Polecamy gorąco.
The best thing about my stay was...Przyjazna obsługa, czysto,duży wybór jedzenia, baseny i wiele innych.

Fab family holiday
Audrey O Donovan, Cork
Just back from a wk stay in Dunas Mirador Maspalomas & loved every minute of it! Good was delicious & plentiful all day long & the children loved the idea of the ice cream & cake in the afternoon! I could fault anything about our stay & we will definitely go back nxt yr again!! The only drawback was the keeping of sunbirds with towels & nobody on them as the sunshine is limited this time of yr so the ideal Sun spots were always taken but sometimes with nobody using them?? It was amazing in the hotel & thanks to all the staff (especially restaurant waiting staff- brilliant with my children!) big thumbs up for the hotel!!
The best thing about my stay was...The food and drink available any time!

Not what it used to be!
Shane , Ireland
Was here last April and loved, came here with my partner and within the year the hotels standard changed dramatically. The beds sheets and towels we're changed once the day before we actually left, the balcony was covered in sand and none of us had been to the beach through the stay it was like that the whole week. The floor wasn't cleaned once as there was hair everywhere. Some of the staff where abit judgemental but for the bar staff they were amazing couldn't have helped us more. I had also had my door opened with another card key as myself and girlfriend where in the room, when I went to check there was no one there. Very poor attention to detail. Also there is no air conditioning in the rooms had to sleep with the balcony door open all night
The best thing about my stay was...Different choices of food.

This hotel is fake, double standard room was tiny. Asked to upgrade and pay the difference, staff told us after two days to pack they had another room for us. We took the afternoon packing only to find same size room!! Nothing else the arrogant manager told us. Never met anybody as ignorant and unhelpful!!
The best thing about my stay was...Food was good

would be 4 * review only no air conditioning and bad wifi
mum from ireland, Ireland
travelled as a family, 2 adults, a teenager and a 10 yr old. stayed here for 6 day 16th march till 21 march, food was lovely but a bit the same after a few days. lovely heated pool , was like getting into a bath. good animation team, very enthusiastic. hotel needs to review the air conditioning. the weather wasn't particularly hot but we rented a fan, €17 per week, because the room was so stuffy, it didn't really do the job, air conditioning units are €60 per week, but I cant vouch for them. we paid for the wifi €20 per week but very bad. small room but adequate, very powerful shower with hot water. we had a lovely pool view, block B, which got lovely evening sun. we got bit a few times by mosquitos, but I think that because the first night we left the patio door open as it was so stuffy, and they got in. the staff are all friendly. the hotel is closed for May for renovations , I asked the receptionist what was being done but she didn't know. hope it's air conditioning. Hope the hotel see a theme running through this review if they read it !!! Air conditioning!! bit for variety in the food department, and badly need a kids food corner. although what they had was lovely, esp the fresh fish. The all inclusive drinks were good . We used Hoppa transfers, it was meant to be the speedy transfer, max 4 drops, but we were the last of 8 drops on arrival, and there were 6 collections for departures. local taxis are approx. €40 for a 20 min trip, bus transfers between 1 hr and 1.5 hrs for €40 return. the heated pool is a dream but it can be freezing when you come out with the breeze. I would love to return to this hotel next yr for a quick break, maybe April, we had a few thunderstorms and cloudy afternoons this time. but I enjoyed my time in the hotel, just a few niggles, looking forward to seeing what are the renovations. not much in the line of shopping areas, just a couple of shopping centres a short taxi trip away.
The best thing about my stay was...lovely heated pool and pretty area around the pool
