Wouldn't go again
Steve b, Manchester
Stayed here with my wife for 4 nights in November 2016, the location is on top of a mountain. 10 mins walk to the nearest life. 40 mins down a dirt path to the beach, which is amazing. Entertainment is non-existent. Reception only opens until 7pm so if you arrive after you have to find your own room. Pool bar plays gospel channel all day and shuts at 4pm. It's around 5 euros in a taxi to the centre of Puerto Rico. If you want to do nothing but relax this is the place for you. On the other hand if your a party animal, stay away and I would advise not to take children here.
The best thing about my stay was...Rooms and we were able to get sunbeds

Basic but Good

Stayed here for over 6 weeks February/March 2016. A little tired and needs some TLC but kept clean and staff friendly and helpful. Water heater is small so needs time to recover if taking 2 showers or lady washing hair. Paid for wifi but still very unpredictable. BBC and ITV channels but not always available. Microwave, kettle, 2 ring hotplate, small oven and fridge/freezer. Large sunny balcony with table and chairs and 2 sun loungers. Great views of the sunset. Small well stocked shop on site. Pool little used so not much atmosphere. Taxi 3 euros to the lovely Amadores beach and 5 euros to Puerto Rico centre. Walking down and taxi back was our choice or 10 minute walk to bars and supermarkets at Europercentre. Security on duty at nights.Would stay here again.
The best thing about my stay was...Sun and sunsets

The Roslara resort is very boaring resort with not much to do I am only back from there since yesterday and. Hotel staff were very unfriendly and couldn't speak English very little the bar closed at 6pm with no entertainment and if you whanted wifi you had to pay 6euro a. Day the location is. A walk away from the shopping centre and at time the pool was quit dirrty I would never stay there again and none off the hotel staff would help you with your cases and there is only two staff for the hole resort
The best thing about my stay was...The best thing about the resort is that the rooms are tidey but very basic and staff need to clean them better

A very enjoyable relaxing week
Phil May, Southampton
Just returned from our stay at Roslara Apartments, Gran Canaria. Very impressed overall for the money we paid. Apartments are basic, but very clean, (No hint of the dreaded cockroaches at all!) roomy and the beds are quite comfy. A good size private terrace on all apartments, with very nice views of the little valley down to Amadores beach, with the sea beyond. The apartments face south, so you get the sun all day. Lots of posh hotels can't boast that! Poolside bar owners very friendly and helpful. Weather was fantastic. High 20,s all week (In February!) Deep joy. Deep sun tan! Friends and family all envious when we returned. Beach is 20 min walk downhill, 5 min taxi back (3 Euros). Unless you are superfit or in training for a marathon or just tight, the taxi is the only viable way back! Puerto Rico centre caters for all tastes of eating and all taste of music, from oldies, 80's, country to disco. Cheapest bar is M & Ms. (Top right hand corner, near the drag bar.) 90cents for a large beer! Cant be bad. Again, you will need a ride home. (4 euros this time). But what the heck. You're on holiday! Thoroughly recommend.
The best thing about my stay was...Relaxing in the sun from morning 'til night

really clean and reasonably priced although lots and lots of steps!
Sinéad, Dublin, Ireland.
We arrived at Roslara late evening and we got our rooms straight away but were a bit concerned as we went up and up the hill away from the beach. Rooms were immaculate, pool looked great. Andy and Anne's little pool bar is great lovely people! Taxi to Amadores beach area was 3e but 3e twice a day for 9days is a lot. Europa center is 10min walk up the road but also up a little hill. I was a lot fitter going home from this holiday from all the hills and steps! We were with a couple with a baby and they struggled with the steps and the buggy so try request a room near the top near the lift. Roslara were lovely apartments cleaned every 2nd day really well and towels changed. But would stay closer to the beach if I went back to Puerto Rico. Great apartments for price paid.
The best thing about my stay was...Cleanliness of the apartments and the weather.

UP AND COMING LOOKING OVER THE AMADORES BEACH. BEEN TO THESE APARTMENTS ABOUT 15 TIMES . GOOD WINTER HOLIDAY AT A BUDGET PRICE. WEATHER GOOD ALL YEAR ROUND. BIG BALCONY COULD DO WITH A SUNLOUNGER ON IT AND AIR CONDITIONING AND IT WOULD BE 4 STAR. POOL BAR EXCELLENT AND LITTLE SUPERMARKET. GOOD LOCAL TAXI SERVICE. WOULD GO IN THE WINTER IF YOU DO NOT LIKE LONG FLIGHTS TO THE CARIBBEAN
The best thing about my stay was...SUNSHINE ALL YEAR, BIG BALCONY , LOVELY AMADORES BEACH WITH LOADS OF RESTAURANT
