Hi there first impressions poor and tgst was what is was. The good was luke warm at best! As you enter dinning area huge anti bac bottles greet you! Cocktails, wine and yes Sangria from a machine. Drinks very sun standard. Good thing unlimited supply of coke! The walkways were in disrepair and not very lit when walking down hundreds of steps in complex at night. The pool area psinnwas very cracked and pain chipped not very hygienic and safe. Never went in once whole week in sun. I had a very basic room where pipes were everywhere in corridor with bathroom on corridor where you could see people walking when in there. Not good. It is high on the cliff 794 steps to get down and then up in heat. Shoujd have a shuttle bus. No entertainment and mostly no music no atmosphere. Very disappointing def wasn't a good vibe about hotel. Good thing was the staff tried their best. Children every where and very loud geared up fir that and not moving off hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...The sun was the best bit.

Lots of families with children, that can be annoying. Nice pools and views from room. Poor soundproof in rooms, can hear everything. Food was good, lots of vegetables and fruits ( thumbs up), loved AI pina coladas, very good bar service and friendly staff. Good sized room but could use a refresh.

Puerto Azul rocks!
Carol and Tony Crabtree, Nottingham, England
Just had 2 great weeks at Puerto Azul and my husband and I really enjoyed our stay (again - stayed in April too). We were in room 2703 overlooking Puerto Rico beach, the harbour, park and shopping centre and the view was awesome! Hotel busy but well organised and all staff friendly and helpful. Food varied and gorgeous and staff worked very hard to keep restaurant and tables clean. Room spacious with kitchenette, kettle, toaster and microwave and all kept clean 5 days a week. Bed very comfy! We didn't really use the pools because we either went walining or went on Puerto Rico beach but did use the adult sunbathing area and Jacuzzi a couple of time - excellent! It was great though to watch the entertainment team keeping the kids happy - they work very hard and look as though they really enjoyed it!
The best thing about my stay was...Fantastic view and friendly, relaxed atmosphere of hotel

Another Lovely Stay
Debbie Shaun and Family, Cornwall
Yet again we visited Servatur Puerto Azul, We have stayed at his hotel many many times and cannot really fault this hotel. The hotel was very busy due to school holidays, but this did not bother us at all, as usual it did not phase the staff and they continued their jobs with smiles on their faces. Food is great, staff are very pleasant and helpful. Children had a wonderful time, and made some amazing friends. Only down side to our holiday this time, was the view from the room. We have stayed here many times and had amazing views, but on this occasion we had a not so wonderful view. But saying this, the room could not be faulted, clean and very spacious, and it did have a very very limited sea view. Cannot wait to return again next year.
The best thing about my stay was...The good accommodation and wonderful weather

An OK hotel
The best bit of the hotel was the room. Clean, spacious with a lovely large balcony. Just make sure you get a refurbished room with a sea view. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The food was OK but with any All-Inclusive it gets boring after a few days. They tried a theme night for the food but it wasn't up to much (Mexican). There is only one bar with alcohol (pool bar) and it is very busy and noisy. Self Service beer, wine and soft drinks in plastic cups. You have to queue for spirits and cocktails which are from a premix machine. Staffing levels are low. The entertainment is poor, the mini-disco goes on and on and on...until 10pm most nights at which point the adult act starts. There only seems to be a few entertainment staff employed by the hotel, the others are reps from the tour companies for the kids club. The pools are large and busy. Be prepared to start queuing with your towels at 7.00am ready for when the starting gate opens at 8.00am. Then it's elbows out and show no mercy. We didn't go to Puerto Rico beach, instead we went to Amadores Beach. Its a 20 minute downhill walk but the beach is lovely. It's clean, sandy there are loads of beds(€6 each) and lots of bars and beach shops. Get a taxi back for €3 Avoid the Europa centre at the top of the hill which is an overpriced tourist trap. Poor food and tatty shops.

Just back from 12 days here, had a really good time ! Food had plenty of variety and worked well with the dinning areas split ideal for families ! Entertainment at night I felt was on to late especially with 6 little kiddies but plenty to do throughout the day with the arranged activities, would defo go back ! Refurbished rooms amazing compared to the average but they are always cleaned and very tidy . Very clean complex only other down fall is the number of lifts to get into to get to the room but manageable
The best thing about my stay was...Pool area

Bernadette Barbour , Dublin Ireland
The hotel staff where so friendly and helpful, We loved the layout of the hotel. The food was so good with so much to choose from even if you wanted to eat healthy it was all there. Our room------> bed was very comfortable we both slept well. The sitting room----> sofa and chair not comfortable The kitchen ------ > everything we needed was there. We had a fine big balcony the Sun from early morning until about 18:00 It was very nice 😎😎 Lovely views from the hotel. We have stayed before and we Will be back again. I felt comfortable walking around around on my own 👍🏼 Taxi into Purto Rico was only €3.60c
The best thing about my stay was...Loved been around the hotel in the evening meeting all the people most people would chat it was great

Late Holiday in Gran Canaria

We are regular visitors to Puerto Rico but this was our first stay at the Puerto Azul. We stayed for 12 nights on an all inclusive basis. The Puerto Azul is quite a large complex and finding your way around initially is confusing. However, the apartments, while a bit dated, are clean spacious and well equipped. The maid service is frequent and efficient. The restaurant is large and well laid out. There are two sittings for the evening meal because demand is so high and you have to stick with the one you choose when book in. The menus at meal times were in line with what is offered in mid-priced all inclusives. The food was always hot when served, there appeared to be unlimited availability during the whole day and we considered it was good value for the price we paid for our stay. The hotel was very busy, mainly with Scandinavian tourists, and there were lots of children on half term holidays. The pool area is very large and there was an abundance of sunbeds and umbrellas. An attractive feature for us was the spacious adults only sun deck away from the pool side music and the young children. Although we were all inclusive we prefer the entertainment in the lively bars in the centre in the evenings and did not spend any time around the pool bar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Puerto Azul and would not hesitate to stay there again on a future visit to Puerto Rico.
The best thing about my stay was...The adults only sun deck from which under 18s are excluded.

Simple, but not what we were looking for.
John, United States
I wouldn't recommend it for anyone other than families with parents who like to drink, and allow their kids to run free. The type of people was the primary reason we didn't like staying in the hotel. We got the all-inclusive package, and tried the breakfast the first morning, and never again. And then tried sitting at the bar one night for the free drinks, but the quality of the people around us made that not worth the free price either. The room themselves were okay, and worth the price, but ONLY if you upgrade to a suite (20 Euro a day). The food was pretty bad, there were a decent number of choices but everything was just bottom of the barrel. My wife and I enjoy having a few drinks, which was the primary reason for going with the all-inclusive, and even if the food was halfway decent, the option to eat in once in awhile would make it worth it. Expect lower class English/Irish who like to get loud. We avoided the hotel as much as we could and stayed out all day long.

Stayed jan 10-17th 2015
Paul gray, Scotland
Stayed 7 nights at Puerto azul with kids + grandchild. We had 3103/3104/3105 which were 10 storeys away from pool and reception. Had to get two lifts with walk in between and then another walk to the rooms. It turned out all the rooms closer to pool were reserved for Thomas Cook guests so we were stuck far away. Although this hotel is massive, the staff were pleasant. Evening entertainment was pretty run of the mill. Parrot show was good, but no photos allowed as they come around after and charge 20 euro for a photo with parrots. We understood that all inclusive ended at 11pm and that we would have to pay for drinks..only problem is they don't keep the bar open after 11pm ! Pools are great but absolutely freezing(even the heated one) food was repetitive but we expect this from all inclusive. Usual pay for TV/wifi/safe/ beach towels but again expected. We all said we would never go back.
The best thing about my stay was...Clean

Great location and very good facilities
A fantastic location for the sun, never a moment when there is no sunshine. There is a good variety of food, not great, but good for this price and AI.
The best thing about my stay was...Look forward to the rooms being upgraded - looked at one + they will be amazing one complete.

lovly views, food rubbish. high up
Bremoi61, south wales
Rooms were spacous, fab views of the sea, pool area was fab, no towels down, always had a sunbed, adults area with jacuzzi looking over sea was fantastic, now the negatives, hotel is right at rhe top of the hill, no buses so had to taxi everywhere, food was cold, not much choice, no hot drinks at lunchtime or dinnertime, ants in our room, entertainment your typical parrot acrobat shows , alcohol on all inclusive was absolute rubbish, it must b non alcoholic as could not get drunk even after ten vodkas, bar closes dead on 11.00 pm and no disco , no bars nearby unless you walk up a steep hill to the europa centre, lovly resort and Ammadores beach was amazing, i would go bak but not to this hotel
The best thing about my stay was...the pool area
