This relaxed, friendly hotel is perfect for a short stay, and allows you time to relax in the comfort of a 4 star hotel. The staff are exceptionally efficient, and the nicest warmest people you could hope to meet. They treat you like royalty, while making you feel like a friend.

The food is excellent, with both a lunch menu, dinner menu. If I was to say one negative thing it would be that breakfast is continental, but that is a very small issue.

The room we were given was small, but provided everything you could ask for, including a stocked mini bar, which is rare in Malta and Gozo. Our room was internal, and had a quaint balcony inside the hotel, but If you were planning a stay of more than a few nights, I would suggest asking for a sea view.

All in All, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. First Class.

excellent location. car essential unless a rambler
Bob Davison, Bugibba
Its a pity that the only rooms you can book online are the interior courtyard views as these rooms are not as well finished as the other rooms. Also the noise from the courtyard echos and is amplified into the room. The breakfast is not the best I have had by a long way, flies walking all over the cereals, bread, cooked meats etc. The various cooked breakfasts weren't very appetising poor sausage etc. although the staff are very polite and friendly. Not surprisingly the restuarant was empty in the evening but fortunately there are some excellent restuarants nearby.
The best thing about my stay was...location.

Fab relaxing week!

Me & my sister visit Xlendi frequently and usually choose an appartment but this time opted for St Pats which was an experience we will definatly be repeating! We had an internal room which i was dubious about but to be honest it was fine and i've never slept in a comfier bed! There were bits of the room and the hotel which are a bit rough round the edges and could do with a bit of work if you were being fussy eg towels looked a bit thin, few cracks in the wall, the taps in the bathroom had seen better days and the room could of done with a bit more light, but this is me being picky! Xlendi is the type of place where the people, atmosphere, food and drink make up for the small faults with rooms! The service at St Pats was great from George in the morning at breakfast (which has plenty of choice) starting your day with big smiles and a real welcome to the new manager John Paul who i think is trying to iron out any small problems within the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble all the other waiters are great and the ladies on reception are polite and friendly. Also whilst we were there they have started to do a Morrocan inspired evening on the roof garden serving nibbles, wine and cocktails which was such a beautiful night and definatly a must during your visit. We spent every day on the roof, the pool is small but hey it is a splash pool and all you need just to cool of so it was quite sufficent. We had the set menu one night because i must admit i hadn't eaten at St Pats for a few years because i've been disappointed but i'm glad to say the food was fantastic and back to as good as it used to be and at 15euros for a 3 course meal you can't complain. We will definately be staying at St Pats again.
The best thing about my stay was...the staff

Lovely HOtel in a fabulous location! Staff were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend a sea view room as the internal rooms are a bit dark and claustrophobic.

St. Patrick's was situated with harbour or gorge view. We booked a standard double with windows overlooking the atrium and reception area and, although the room was quiet because our stay was off-peak, I would think this would be a very noisy room in peak season. I would recommend a sea view - the view is stunning. I wouldn't rate this hotel as 5* purely because there isn't 5* facilities, but it is very comfortable and the rooms are a good size, nice and clean and the staff very helpful.

What a wonderful hotel! We were greeted with big smiles and helping hands when we arrived in the late evening, hot and tired after a day's travel. We asked for our room to be upgraded once we'd arrived, which was no problem and we were given the most amazing suite at very little extra cost.

The hotel dinner was sea front with the most magical view over the ocean (although it was dark) - twinkling lights and helpful staff, not to be topped by the huge and wonderful meals we had. Luscious pasta dishes for my friends and the local Lampuki fish for me - delicious.

Our room was spacious, the bathroom was large and very clean and the beds comfortable with lots of extra pillows and blankets should we need them. TV and mini bar all in perfect working order, although the air conditioning was turned off for winter (still 25 degrees!).

When we woke up the next morning our 5th floor room had marvellous views from the balcony out over the little square and hills around. We explored the roof top area which had a very tiny pool - more of plunge pool size than a swimming pool. Perfectly adequate to jump into to cool off tho. The roof top views out to the sea and valley behind were wonderful and a very pleasant place to laze away an afternoon on their deckchairs. The hotel is right on the waters edge, and the bay had lots of ladders down into the sea for those who wanted to swim in the sea. The snorkeling looked like it would be great - unfortunately there was a flood when we arrived (happens only once a year - unlucky us!) so we weren't able to see much underwater.

Breakfast was fine, although not particularly varied, which would be my only niggle if I had to find one.

Xlendi Bay is a great place to explore Gozo from and the St Patricks a more than comfortable hotel to stay in. The staff were so helpful - they sorted out our car hire and suggested places we should visit as well as greeting us each day with big smiles and cheery 'good mornings'. Their attentiveness and care really made us feel welcome.

We (females aged 32, 52, 56) stayed at the St Patricks in Gozo for 4 nights then continued our holiday in Malta and have all agreed that Xlendi Bay and St Patricks was by far the best experince we had.

Great Hotel, lovely location
Stayed at St Patrick's for a week with my Mum after my sister recommended it. The hotel was very nice. The room was clean. Free wifi on the ground floor. The hop on-hop off tour buses stop right outside and there are boat excursions available on the bay too. Would stay again.
The best thing about my stay was...Breakfast had lots of choice

Wonderful Views and Great Dining

We absolutely love St. Patricks Hotel and when the promenade is updated and the hotel extended, it is bound to be even an even better place to visit and stay. Thanks to Janet on reception, Karl the manager and all of the rest of the staff for such an enjoyable stay. It is a shame that Paul is leaving as he is a great asset to the hotel. We look forward to returning next spring, summer and autumn !! That is how nice it is here !!
The best thing about my stay was...Love the food and the beautiful view of Xlendi Bay

Stayed here dozens of times

We go to Malta 3 or 4 times a year and always include a trip to Gozo. St patrick's usually features in our itinerary because the food is really worth it - not just in the hotel but also in the many other restaurants nearby. The view of Xlendi bay from the hotel is just beautiful and scenic and we never tire of it.
The best thing about my stay was...Food and view of the bay.
