Stayed at this hotel's sister hotel in Las Americas last year and it was outstanding, so thought this would be just as good as it was also 4*. First room we were given was awful to say the least but the young man we complained to at reception was very helpful and moved us to a much better room the next day. Rooms are nice and facilities are ok but night-time entertainment is really poor, especially given that we were all inclusive and relatively remote being quite far back up the hill. Unless you are quite fit and able, do not go to this hotel as it is up and up and up towards the back of the resort and over the dual carriageway. The food was only just above average and not of 4* standard in our opinion. All that said, the staff are very helpful, kind and friendly. It also a fantastic hotel for children as they are very well catered for.
The best thing about my stay was...Second room with lovely view over the pool and out to the sea

Amazing hotel with fabulous staff!

I stayed at this hotel last week with a friend and we absolutely loved it! The hotel is modern and huge, so there is enough space and sun beds for everyone! The staff go out of their way to make your stay as perfect and possible! Best bit of the holiday was the food!! There was so much choice it was hard to choose :) there's a Chinese food station which was amazing! Highly reccomend this hotel!!
The best thing about my stay was...Food!

good holiday could be better for the money

stayed here from 4 june to 15 june. a lot of building work going on we were woke every morning at about 9 am to kango hammer alarm and builders walking around the hotel with wheelbarrows full of ruble every day.and there is also noisy building site just across the road from the front entrance .the rooms are very old and delapadeted unless you want to pay extra for refurbished room which we did ,should have been given free upgrade with all the building going on. The food is very hit and miss had some nice dishes but over all low quality food.now for the good points the hotel is spotless and the staff very plesent and helpful.the drinks on the A.I. are good and the animation are very good always something going on for kids and adults.for the money we paid we could have a proper 4 star hotel with better food and no building work going on around the pool and closer to the coast. this hotel is 3 star at a push and i dont know how thay get away with calling it a 4 star.
The best thing about my stay was...all inclusive drinks and animation

Just back from the Villa Tagoro what a great complex as said in previous reviews the staff are really friendly and cant do enough for you. The complex itself is spotless there is a mixture of rooms some refurbished and some not. On arrival we were allocated a room that had not been refurbished the room was basic but clean we decided that we would like to upgrade to a refurbished room this cost us 80 euros for one week . The refurbished rooms are finished to a good standard with flat screen TVs and better aircon. The food was good although a bit repetitive after a week. Entertainment was good as was daytime entertainment water polo and aerobics during the day. The only downside at this complex was the battle for sunbeds in the morning you had to be up at 9 30am to have any chance of getting one but this is the same with a lot of hotels. Would definitely recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for an all inclusive stay in Tenerife.
The best thing about my stay was...Clean apartments and excellant daytime entertainment. Friendly staff.

2 visits this year and will go back.
Johnson family, Lancs
Two great family holidays this year. No complaints, rooms basic but clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty for kids to do although entertainments dated but hey the well stocked bar takes the edge of the karaoke. Free bus handy but we prefer to walk to beach, takes about 30 mins with children. Although up hill on way back. Taxi back around 3 euros so no problems if you miss the bus. Some trips expensive Sian park around 100 euros. Local well stocked supermarket and shopping mall just down road. 2 sittings for food now so those with younger families can eat earlier. Queing a pain, just wish folk would stop being so English and get what they want rather than stand for ages in a line' which is difficult with hungry kids. Choice good and speciality nights nice. Wish we could go back more often!
The best thing about my stay was...Not having to think about anything.

Excellent value for money
We have stayed here 4 times yes read the reviews it is a little out of the way but it says that in the description?? We have also stayed in the 4 star hotels nearer the beach and to be honest this is far better, friendly , CLEAN, food is ok you get what you pay for but overall excellent value for money and never had a problem here!!!!
The best thing about my stay was...We will return

Lovely friendly staff, good facilities but a bit of a walk to the main promenade down hill.
Ann Best, Somerset
This was disabled friendly as had ramps and four accessible room. The pool had a walk in with grab rail.. The food was varied and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. There was a courtesay bus to the beach and the shops. The only draw back was the fact it was a bit far out for people with walking difficulties so after dinner you were stuck in unless you paid for a taxi. The hotel was about an hour and a half for people with walking difficulties that is why we would not stay there again as my partner has mobility problems.
The best thing about my stay was...Food. drink and accommodation.

Very friendly, beautiful settings
This is my 3rd stay at Villa Tagoro. I loved this hotel as it's small, not chaotic and very friendly. The food is good, the entertainment could improve a little bit and they could add more lounges in the swimming pool as they are not enough and there is a rush to secure one in the early morning.
The best thing about my stay was...Canarian architecture and settings, friendliness of staff

Room nice and big. Balcony huge with sun beds. I didn't feel the room was very secure - it could easily have been broken into. We were all-inclusive - food and drink ok. Entertainment ok. Son age 4 loved playground but not playroom or disco. Location not great - everything (especially the beach) is a long walk
The best thing about my stay was...weather

Do not take all the reviews to seriously
Vicky, Wexford Ireland
Just come back from Villa Tagoro, party of 8 including 2 children 6 and 4. thoroughly enjoyed my stay apartment was of a good size and had a fabulous balcony that over looked the pool and stage. The staff are very good, nothing is to much trouble and the rooms are very clean with change of bed linen every couple of days. Like many wished there had been a kettle for early morning cuppa but having read reviews we took our own and presume the kitchenettes are no longer supplied with cups excetra is because they no longer do 'self catering'. Food was good, I had no complaints and I am a very plain eater, but there is a big choice and I found some thing I liked every meal.People have to remember that all these apartment hotels cater for many different nationalities and we don't all like the same types of food. Sunbeds need a bit of a makeover but they were actually doing this when we left, and you have to be on the ball when they unfasten them at 9'o clock. The curtesy bus is very good as it will drop you off at several different beaches or you can go to Las Americas and from there you can get the Bono bus to alot of places. All in all an excellent holiday, very good value for money, you get what you pay for if you want 5 star you have to pay for it.Would certainly go back.
The best thing about my stay was...Everthing particularly the pancakes at breakfast

Good food, Clean and excellent staff
Was a bit worried about the Villa Tagoro after I had read some of the reviews, but I have to say i could not fault the place. The rooms were basic and spotlessly clean. There was no kettle we had our own travel kettle with us. The food you could not complain about there was something even for the fuss eater (my wife). Only complaint was there was some discription of pork on every day but there was either fish or another meat too. The entertainment staff work really hard and there was only 2 out of 12 of the shows that I taught were crap the rest were very enjoyable. I would definately stay here again.
The best thing about my stay was...Everything had a ball

Needed a good makeover, quite old and needed a good spruce! The hotel reception staff lost our passports!! However the other staff were lovely. Bar staff, cleaners etc.

Great resort,great value for money
Was a bit dubious after reading some of the reviews but need'nt of worried excellant value for money.Rooms were basic but good requested pool view which was given( room 106 that had great view of the stage which was an added bonus).Could not fault food great selection every night something for even the fussiest of eaters(my wife) although did fid it strange that pork was on the menu in some shape or form every day.Read some terrible reviews about the entertainment have to say not bad at all and some nights actually quite good.Staff work very hard and are polite and friendly.Would highly recomend this hotel.P.S (be up early if you want a sunbed)
The best thing about my stay was...everything, could find little wrong and would return again.

We returned for our Honeymoon!
Patricia Staley, Heanor, Derbyshire
We were here two years ago and returned for our honeymoon. The hotel is served by friendly staff at all levels, it's clean and tidy and the room is spacious with plenty storage areas. The food is fantastic with plenty variety and themed meals available. We went all inclusive. I love the fact that the hotel is no higher than 3 stories and gives a feeling of intimacy. The only drawbacks for this hotel, and they are only minor points, is the walk back from the beach is all up hill and the entertaiment can be heard from poolside rooms till it closes at midnight. Having said that we did not find it much of a problem. We're looking for our next holiday here vand would recommend this hotel which attracts both older and younger couples as well as families.
The best thing about my stay was...Everything!!

good holiday,hotel ok
mick wade, folkestone
stayed at villa tagoro in august,we arrived late and were upgraded to superior room.rooms clean and spacious, air conditioning only downfall as did not work.food we thought was very good,no complaints as they tried very hard to please with a mixed variety of food each day.entertainment was ok,not great, animation team work very hard and are good, but evening entertainment was hit and miss but at least there was entertainment.pool was too warm and ear infections seemed to be quite common, sunbeds was biggest problem as big rush when they were unlocked at 0900.over all had a very good holiday, met some lovely people, don,t be put off by some reveiws this hotel has good points and some bad points but overall more good than bad.
The best thing about my stay was...kids loved it.

HAD A GOOD HOLIDAY WHICH WAS VALUE FOR THE MONEY WE PAID
Sue Harrap, lincoln
We had a good stay at this hotel. However, it is in need of a refurbish. The other downside was the hassle on a morning trying to get a sunbed as they were locked each night and you had to be up early to get a decent position. The food was ok and drinks maybe had a low % of alchohol in them. The entertainment was rubbish and boring. The children loved the pool area and made lots of friends and the weather was fab.
The best thing about my stay was...The weather

mrs deborah williams, newport
Good all inclusive hotel with a good selection of food at meal times and snacks food and drink throughout the day. Nice pool but you need to be there early to get a sunbed.Rooms clean and tidy with mini kitchen, i took my own kettle having read in previous reviews you had to hire these but i did expect to have cups , glasses and a little cutlery but there was nothing at all. Altogether though we had a great time and would return again.
The best thing about my stay was...The pool

Just returned from the Villa Tagoro - family of 4, 2 kids under 5yrs - we had a "nice" holiday. Location - a short walk to the beach/restaurants/shops/supermarket 1 min walk away, 10 minute drive from the airport (we would have saved money catching a taxi at the airport instead of paying for transfer) Staff - reception staff very friendly and helpful (our friends swapped their room when first was too noisy) waiting staff and service excellent but watch your plates, if you turn your back for a second - they've been cleared away!! Accommodation - not 4 star!! rooms were very worn and needing a lot of r&r, if you're in an apartment around the pool/bar/restaurant then don't expect a quiet nights sleep. Our balcony was tiny and not for a family. Food - 3 star, nice for the first few days, but then gets very very repetitive - and yes there was a lot of tinned fruit and veg being served!! Yummy puds but again repetitive. Drink - good, shame you can only order 2 drinks at a time. Bar closes for all inclusive at 11pm, then to get drinks at the bar, you have to buy tickets or additional wristbands from reception. Pool - lovely!! a warm, big (deep) main pool with a separate little pool for the tots (although this is a lot cooler) There is also another pool area at the side of the hotel next to the park, it's smaller and quieter but nice if you want to get away from the hustle of the main area. Entertainment - Hmmmmm guess it depends on your own taste. Entertainment team were great and worked hard, well done! Very old school -magician joining rings and pulling out coloured handkerchiefs sort of thing. Cleanliness - room standard ok (beds made and room swept out daily) pool area ok, restaurant ok, bar area a bit grim and smelly. In general, a nice hotel but would only rate as 3 star overall. If you get a bargain holiday, then it's value for money.
The best thing about my stay was...The puddings !!
