Brussels

Belgium’s capital city, Brussels is a sophisticated city with a lively atmosphere. It hits the headlines more often for its modern role as capital of the European Community, but its historical centre will appeal to the short break visitor. The Flemish quarter contains the most well known sites including the stunning Grand Place and the surrounding cobbled streets where you will find Belgium’s famous mascot, the Mannekin Pis. During the day you can stop at one of the many pavement cafes to sample the famous beers or head to Avenue Louise for excellent shopping. In the summer months, Sunday mornings can be spent browsing around the flower market in the Grand Place or the antiques at the Place du Grand Sablon. Brussels has plenty to do at night – try the many theatres, cinemas, concerts, jazz clubs and discos.

10/10 Amazing

15 November 2014

Must stay

Absolutely fantastic stay. The staff were friendly and fluent in English. The took care of all the small details and made us feel like valued customers. It was very easy to reach and, as with everything in Brussels, a short distance to main tourist attractions. I really like the look and feel of the hotel. The interior was decorated beautifully, in an old and traditional style but the hotel still had a modern feel to it. Our room was spacious and luxurious. At night there were prostitutes along the Avenue Louise but this did not bother us. There are beautiful parks at the bottom of Avenue Louise (right out of the hotel) and at the other end you will find the high end shops. I would definitely return to the Warwick Barsey.

The best thing about my stay was...

Brilliant Short Break!

This was a wonderful break for me and my partner. The service from the staff was second to none and they were all very helpful and attentive. The hotels location makes it lovely and peaceful. The number 94 tram runs from outside the hotel and takes about 5 minutes to get in to the centre. The hotel is beautifully decorated in Victorian style decor. This hotel has a wonderful atmosphere and I would recommend it to anyone!
